Okay we have to talk about the scene at Steel’s headquarters on the Epiphany, please and thank you:

About Steel and the duality of yelling at her subordinates, openly degrading the guildmage, but then seconds later playing a good lap dog to the Emperor?! Agreeing to be glorified entertainment at a rich kid‘s birthday party… it’s giving mid level manager.

(Still love her and I will die on this hill, okay…!) 🙃

Meanwhile the blood in her veins is looking for something to kill her with. What is it looking for? Her heart? Her true name? The audacity?

Oh, and let’s talk about how Steel, like every mother ever, knows exactly what to say to Suvi to deliver maximum emotional damage.

And Suvi, oh my god, I could write essays about her ever evolving relationship to Steel, perfection, loyalty, family, love. Fortunately, Aabria (@quiddie) has been doing that for me since the beginning of this story, and made sure Suvi remains my favorite character of all time. Ever.

I‘ve been waiting for this reunion since Arc 2 and GOD IS IT WORTH IT!!!
