Kaeya, who keeps his emotions at bay so well that he doesn't realize how much he's actually feeling. Hides his emotions so flawlessly that he forgets what he's hiding in the first place.
Until he's let his guard down just a little bit for it to slip through and it shocks everyone AND him.
Kaeya: "Well, that's just how Diluc is. Grumpy, bratty, spoiled, the works,"
Traveler: "Maybe he's like that because you keep aggravating him,"
Kaeya: "Maybe if he stops acting like I'm a fucking pest that disgusts him at every glance, I'll stop aggravating him,"
And both Kaeya and the traveler just pause in silence for a bit. Because Kaeya did not realize how angry he was. He never blamed Diluc for that night, truly, he was asking for it even. And he cannot for the life of him pinpoint when that anger started.
Was it when Diluc left? Was it when he sold their home? When he came back and barely uttered a single word to him?
He didn't know. The wall he's built up is so tall that even he forgets what's behind it
