Quick reflexes
I love how in the Avatar universe there is objectively and unequivocally a chosen one, and people are like "Yeah, there’s the chosen one. They're a moron sometimes."
So I had this class about a specific niche of Hollywood history this year and my main take-away from it is that Bolin’s arc in TLoK s2 is 100% inspired by Fred Astaire.
A sibling duo who rose to fame together but the older one leaves the industry so the younger one has to adjust and find his own path? Check.
Starts a career as an actor in black and white films that already have audio? Check.
Gets paired with an actress called Ginger and together they rise to new heights of fame/success? Check.
Anyway, I guess this is my contribution to the fandom. Do with it what you will.

The Greatest Radio Broadcaster Of All Time
So, I just started watching The Legend of Korra, and it has it’s many pros and a couple cons, but the best character so far is this radio/sports announcer guy for the Pro Bending Games. He has an accent from 1930s New York, sounds like he is perpetually hyped, and, in a cruel twist of fate, does the best job of keeping viewers informed of an unfolding tragedy despite being exposed directly to imminent mortal danger.
There are news reporters today who can’t keep their composure and neutral accuracy the way this man does. He must be protected at all costs. I don’t care about the Avatar, I don’t care about Equalists, I don’t even care about the cabbages, THIS. MAN. MUST. BE. PROTECTED.
