This came about after observing sprites where, at various times, The Goat's crown had been depicted as the Red Crown, not as a purple crown. And after thinking about it, I realized something that not many people took into account.
Corruption in CotL, at least as far as The Goat is concerned, has always been represented by the color purple, from Relics to Tarot Cards, even in the place where we found the Corrupted Shrine.
So, what if The Goat's crown isn't purple because it's a Purple Crown, but because it's a corrupted Red Crown?.
While looking through the script, I found something very interesting. A scrapped game mode called Evil Mode. You know what's interesting? We weren't going to play Cult of the Lamb, but Cult of the Goat. Furthermore, it seemed that in that world (or rather, mode) our missions were going to be guided by a devouring hole. However, as you can see from the script itself, this was completely replaced by the Pilgrim Edition.
This discarded lore from The Goat is interesting. What was that hole? Who or what was it? And more importantly, was it what caused the corruption of The Goat's world?
