when you DM a session where the party has to earn a valuable resource, and one of the ways to do so is by selling 10 fingernails to a nightmarish fiend-fey entity who explicitly enjoys the process of ripping them off, and you think that haha no way that theyre gonna take this easy way out, they’re gonna look for other opportunities-- but turns out, you forgot about that one player who enjoys writing torture porn fanfiction is her spare time
