You know that scene in The Heat where Sandra Bullock’s character has a picture of herself posing with a cat and Melissa McCarthy asks her where it is and Sandra Bullock lies and says it ran away and then later in the movie Melissa McCarthy pulls up with that exact cat she stole from someone only to find out it isn’t actually Sandra Bullock’s cat, she just took a picture with it and lied?

I need that in a fic with Damian and Jason. Damian shows up to the safe house of the week and Jason has a gag photo of him with a cat that Roy gave him posted on the wall as a joke to make it “homey” and Damian seriously inquires as to the location of the cat and Jason lies and says he ran away. There’s even a fake sniffle. It’s hilarious.

Damian takes it upon himself to track down the cat and returns the next day with the exact cat in the photo (someone’s outdoor cat from Blüdhaven) bundled in his arms and “returns” it back to Jason with instructions on how to feed it and keep it from running away again. And Jason has to fess up to his little brother that 1) that’s not his cat and 2) he doesn’t even like cats
