MOMMY AND MAMÍ ARE VERY DIFFERENT.
Mommy, when used in the English vernacular as slang, it’s commonly used as a sexual nickname for a commonly older, dominant woman.
Mamí, is an endearing, common word used to address women in Hispanic cultures. It’s used similarly to “babe” or “sweetheart.”
Same thing goes for Papí and Daddy. Translations are literal to each other, yes, but they aren’t used in the same way.
