Don’t know what else to post today, so here’s a complete rewrite of Tom King’s Matriarch (credits to my bestie for helping me brainstorm this)

Lyssa is just another amazon from Themyscira.

But the catch is— she is from the new52 Themyscira, like legit the other universe.

so how did she ended up in mainline? she simply got *lucky*—cuz back in new52, there was something that Wonder Woman did that had triggered the fall of Themyscira.

no island, no amazon left— all except for Lyssa, by some miracle? She got transported to the main universe with nothing but the memories of her home and her people getting wiped away.

and stricken by such catastrophic and unimaginable grief? a red power ring sought her out.
