Detroit-style pizza means healthy dollops of sauce, generous tranches of cheese, a fluffy bottom of crust, and - most crucially - deliciously crispy edges. Done right, it is hands down the best pizza it is possible to get.

Watching a soccer (football, fútbol, fußball, calcio) video on the situation at FC Barcelona, and... it's really hitting home how badly the involvement of sovereign wealth funds has and is continuing to completely fuck up the sport. Barça used to be a paragon of 'how to build a football team the right way' - the majority of their legendary squad of the late-2000s/early-2010s was homegrown, from their own youth academy - and now they are a joke, and legitimately so; but all of the dysfunction today can be traced back to one moment, when Barça was the canary in the coal mine of the impact of sovereign wealth funds - when PSG (owned, essentially, by the royal family of Qatar) bought Neymar for €222 million, a figure so ludicrous that seven years later, in a sport swimming in money, it still remains the most expensive transfer in soccer history, by almost 20% (€42 million more than the purchase of Kylian Mbappe, by... that's right, PSG, the very next year - they laid out over €400 million on just two players in a single year; and the Mbappe transfer itself is €35 million more than third place). The figure was the price of a purchase clause that was set there because, it was thought, no one would ever pay that much money for a soccer player (nowadays clubs in Spain - which are required to have these purchase clauses in contracts - routinely set them at €1 billion).
Barça never expected to actually sell Neymar, but, because another team backed by a nation's worth of oil wealth decided to buy him, they were forced to. And, in trying to replace him, they panicked. They horrendously overpaid (partially because other teams knew they both were desperate and had the money) for players that were nowhere near as good, then overpaid to try and replace those players... creating a cycle that's still going, and has pushed them into billions of euros of debt - in fact, some believe the club is actually bankrupt right now... but no bank in Spain wants to foreclose.
Now, those poor decisions aren't the Qatari royal family's fault - but if they hadn't been able to spend an obscene amount of money prising Neymar away, Barça would never have had to make those poor decisions.

Cottonwood seeds, which are the stars of basically every allergy commercial, are in fact completely non-allergenic.
They're just big and obvious and show up well on TV.
Also totally non-allergenic (well, unless you literally bury your face in it): goldenrod. It just blooms at basically the exact same time as ragweed - but since goldenrod is showy (and beautiful), it draws the blame while the ragweed (which has no obvious flower at all) gets off scot-free to those who don't recognize it for the weedy spawn of hell that it is.
