it's time for another #texturetuesday 😍 there are so many beautiful formulations in the world of green beauty, and I never get over how breathtaking a perfectly crafted product can be. whether it is a balm, oil, clay, salt, or a totally new blend... nature provides the elements to create something stunning. just take a look at the variety here -- there's so many different consistencies, with all different ingredients that target very specific skin needs. how amazing is that?? I would love to hear what texture drives you wild. For me right now it has to be a whipped butter, luscious oil, or a silky smooth balm. My first post of 2019 is up on The ecoLogical! 🎉🎉 It's not my anticipated roundup of my top products of last year (that's on its way though, don't you worry!), but rather talks why I refuse to make a #newyearsresolution and instead figure out intentions. Basically I find people asking me every year what my resolutions are -- and my answer every year is NOTHING. I have aims and wishes and hopes of course, but I find resolutions are pretty much always doomed from the moment you make them. A resolution is so concrete, and the second you mess up you have "failed" somehow. So instead I set intentions 👌 I can go slow, work my way to success, and transition in a healthy and productive way that means my choice will become more than just a month long decision -- it becomes part of my everyday, and is with me for LIFE. °○° empties time!! °○° It's a little early, but as my Christmas post goes up on Monday and I already have 4 scheduled posts after that, I thought better now than never 😅 apologies ahead of time for being a bit rambly tonight! I have a love hate relationship with #empties posts, as they take SO long to write and I don't like skimping on details, but I really enjoy sharing my honest thoughts on products I have used from start to finish as sometimes opinions change longer down the road! -- so I have mixed feelings about this being my "last" empties roundup (at least for the time being). I also love how these posts keep me accountable. I don't hide my waste or secret my "naughty" products out of the picture -- I capture it all so you can see what #greenliving really is: a journey. No one is perfect and no one does this perfectly. We just learn and keep on trying! This month I had two products in my stash that couldn't be recycled. I felt so bad, especially after reading so much about the #plasticpollution problem and preaching about the importance of making responsible choices. But am I going to pretend like it didn't happen?? Nope. I'm going to hold myself accountable for my little accidents, and grow 💚 I would love to hear about your own mistakes and learning experiences -- have you had any "oopsies" lately??
