a weird side effect of curating my internet experience as specifically as i have is that i sort of automatically assume everyone i follow is some kinda trans somethin or other. i was genuinely taken aback to find out you arenât
YO thatâs valid lol, Iâve somehow made it so most of the artists I follow are non-binary? which is super interesting to me!Â

Whatâs the next book youâre hoping to read?
MISTER IMPOSSIBLE BY MAGGIE STIEFVATERÂ Â which like look. im hearing mixed things about it. im seeing some people on here saying they love it and its better than cdth and they think its a good middle-of-a-series book, a notoriously difficult sort of book to write, but im also seeing some people saying it was very much not good. heres what im asking for: the book must sit nicely on my bookshelf next to trc and cdth and it must contain one (1) scene/line/whatever by/about declan that makes me want to put my book down and wander around the house for a while. by the way i checked my tracking information and it says my copy is in my city, so like. get here. what are we doing. get to my house. i checked on google maps and the facility in question is like fifteen minutes away by car. i know thats not how the mail work necessarily but i feel like they should just be able to drive that shit to my house right now
Have you ever read a celebrity memoir? If so, whose was it?
how about this, i read iâll be gone in the dark by michelle mcnamara, which is a book about the golden state killer/east area rapist/joseph deangelo, but which is also about michelle mcnamara and her search for him (this is the excuse im using to put it in the memoir question). unfortunately, michelle mcnamara died while writing the book (before joseph deangelo was caught), so the latter half was put together/organized/written by some close friends and people she worked with, including an afterword by her husband patton oswalt. itâs easily the best true crime book ive ever read.
Favourite non-fiction genre?
true crime! i have a hard time with non fiction (you guys know this, weâve discussed, i almost never make it through book asks without explaining that im bad at non fiction), and i sometimes have a hard time with like, the completely bizarre and callous way some people who like true crime will engage with it, including the writers, but still. it keeps my attention the way other non fiction books dont. this includes all kinds of true crime, by the way, not just serial killers. i keep meaning to read the feather thief by kirk wallace johnson, which is about, you know. a bird heist.Â

if you were a football team what would your mascot be? this isnât a roundabout way of asking your fursona bc some teams have bullshit like the sooners
omg obsessed with this id say sphynx cat bc those are so me but i feel liek a hydra would also be such a cool mascot ideaÂ
is it mostly human pregnancy/birth that you find interesting, or other animals as well? if so, what others?
Humans are some of the most interesting since we grow to do such different things, but basically any other animals are interesting, too! Itâs been a while since Iâve caught up on nonhumans in that regard (and Iâd be surprised if there were as many in-depth books on animal pregnancies and development as there were on humans), but Iâve always found parasitoid wasps really interesting.
