Grian, being a fae, never truly trusted anyone on the server with his real name. It's nothing against the hermits but names hold power and grians had that used against him before. That is until one day he's nearly killed by an iron golem. Mumbo barely saved him in time and still had to nurse him back to health for weeks after the incident. Though mumbo says he doesn't owe him anything for it, grians nature requires him to pay that life debt somehow and decides to trust mumbo with his real name as well as himself.

Mumbo appreciates the gesture, but like, what is he supposed to do with a faerie who loves to prank people? He thinks he may have gotten the short end of the stick.

Grian is a fae/gremlin and Mumbo is his really stressed, really tired Vampire bf.

"Grian,,, please,,, I am begging you, put that elderich abomination Scar calls a cat down and go to bed. It is 5 AM!" -Mumbo, at least once a week.

Grian doesn't hurt Jellie, he just likes her. And shiny things. The other hermits learned pretty quickly to keep their shinies close, and the knowledge of Grian's loctaion at any given time closer.

Also, every hermit has had a valuable object taken by Grian for the sole purpose of Grian being a lil shit. And Mumbo hears about it. A lot.

People assume Mumbo could return Grian’s spoils, but no. He thinks he stashes them in a pocket dimension or something, because once Grian gets his hands on something, it’s gone for good.

Xisuma's always been quite interested in other types of creatures, not human or mob. He enjoys studying them, and finding out how they work and their societies. Perhapse that's why he invited Grian to the server, a well known member of the fae. The only issue is that, oh no, he's cute, and Wels seems to know more then he's letting onto... - 🍪

The server knows mumbo is a vampire... except grian. Being the newest, he was left out of the loop on that one so when everyone forgot to mention it to him all the way to season 7 he's a little freaked out when he sees mumbo kill an animal to feed. Mumbo thinks grian would be afraid, but it's pleasantly surprised when grian seems more interested in him then ever.
