Random thought #1

I was born into a world of slaves marching towards their graves in formation. Brainwashed into living inside a mask of thick lies of judgement. This is what life is – a prison of unified headstones and broken mirrors because we’re too afraid to look at ourselves. We are just shadows reflecting off dreams that rarely become more so we march on. It’s simple to speak through a metaphor but understanding is where truth breaks off the chains. Beauty sits beside every blackened day awaiting your arrival but we choose to follow in footsteps forcing ourselves into routines of depression and jealousy. Jealous of those who have unlocked themselves and strayed off to start living. We choose darkness because it’s easier to follow the person in front of you than to question where the path is taking us so we don’t. We march on.
