i found out today from a lovely commenter on ao3 that callimara and i were mentioned in a jelsa episode of a shipping podcast! 🤣🤣🤣💀🙏 i haven’t listened to it yet but i read the transcript, and there was a lot of ground that they covered! and of course they watched calli’s youtube video 🤣🤣🤣💕 also, “in deep ship!” is an excellent shipping podcast name 💯👌✨

off topic asf but i LOVEEEE jackson overland. i love jack frost but I LOVE JACKSON. something special sm abt the way @therentyoupay writes him (because yes i am once again going back and reading ALL her lovely fics because they just bring such joy and ARE SO WONDERFUL AND INSPIRING) - he is such a cutie patootie and also so well-rounded and jasfdljsakld. and it also like gives me such a good idea of him as a human being - 'cause obviously in the movie he's jack frost. but jackson overland is like. who he is in all these modern aus and also who he WASSS before. and i ADORE it. okay end of rant tysm kris and every jelsa writer ever for giving us the SWEET SWEET content we adore in our lil icy fandom. back to my valentines writing and then OFF TO CLASS FOR THE DAY .

fun fact, my ocs isadora and vincent actually stemmed from jelsa fixation and they just fell into the “ship/fictional character to ocs” pipeline … they’re not all that similar anymore but it’s so fun to think about because the .. dynamics slightly there and in my opinion, I see their faces in them sometimes like in a warped way 😭

just had to share cuz lately i’ve been jelsa pilled all thanks to recent fics and callimaras youtube vids, ESPECCIALLY THE RECENT ONE WITH MYRTHENA !!! which, maybe I should do some fanart soon, some of just jelsa some of the two ships, a lil bit of eso, un poco of this….

like it’s actually so bad the way it all unfolded… cuz yeah .. I had fanart of them tucked away in my journal and then one day something shifted, I remember just one day thinking I want something like jelsa and canon and I can do whatever I want without it being fanart, so let me make my own in the exact same way.. just different.. and then they were born… and little by little other ships I grew attached to blended in to make them, them <3 mainly jelsa though

I also had like other counterparts like rapunzel eugene, hiccup astrid, merida and a girlfriend, but I lowk dropped them bc it got too much…

it haunts me and i’ll never escape the sound of my first childhood ship..

Ok, I must say it.

I've spent the last week reading "At the Center" by the talented @therentyoupay, it's a beautiful and heartbreaking story at the same time!

Once I started reading it, I couldn't stop, and those who have already read it will understand me (and if by any chance you haven't already, what are you waiting for?!) The story is a roller coaster of emotions that never stops! (My heart has been so beaten up by it, but I'm a masochist and I keep reading)!!!!

It's such a well-written story in every sense that it has now become canon in my heart and head!

I'll never be able to watch any of those movies in the same way again because I won't be able to avoid looking for them in the other respectively because now I feel like they have been together since the beginning! WAAAA

Anyway, I'ld like to share an interesting fact that perhaps some of you may not know...

Did you know that in the Latin American dub of both; Frozen and Rise of the Guardians the voice actress for Elsa as a teenager and Jack's sister is the same? (Andrea Arruti)

Additionally, their first line of dialogue is basically the same too?

"(Jack) / I'm scared" :'(

When I saw that scene in Frozen for the first time, I had a déjà vu, and right after that I remembered the scene with Jack and his sister, and something "clicked" inside my head.

And now that I read At the Center, "something simply BOOMED"!!!!!!

It was so easy (and natural) to imagine the interactions between Jack and Elsa. I could almost hear Elsa calling Jack for help (and protection) as his sister did once.

Remember that at the beginning of the story, their relationship was more “fraternal”, he saw her as someone to protect, and eventually he has the same protective feeling towards her, but now from a different perspective. <3

(This transition of perspectives was so damn painful!)

Jack, despite what many may think, has always had a protective instinct (being a Guardian in every sense of the word), and seriously, At the Center is a wonderful journey that allows us to get to know and explore the characters with so much depth (especially Jack).

I will be eternally grateful to @therentyoupay for writing such an amazing story, I hope to read the end someday when she decides it is the time to continue it.
