Kestrel went hot with shame- then was ashamed of her own shame. Who was he, that she should apologize? He had used her. He had lied. Nothing he said meant anything. If she was to feel shame, it should be for having been so easily fooled.

♦️♦️June Wrap Up (1/2)♦️♦️⁣ ⁣ Have you guys found your favourite read of June yet? ⁣ ⁣ I'm a tiny bit early but I just realized I might have went overboard with the number of books I read this month. 🙈⁣ ⁣ So here's a quick wrap up of the first twelve books! ⁣ ⁣ 🔹The Winners Trilogy-- The series is so underrated. It's got politics, betrayal, forbidden romance and so much angst! The writing is beautiful and it's slow burn in the beginning. 10/10 would recommend. 😍⁣ ⁣ 🔹Even The Darkest Stars duology-- Hello there, book that left me a sobbing mess. This series was the biggest surprise I had this year! It's chronically underrated and thinking of the ending of the first book still gives me palpitations.😭 Y'all should give it a shot. ⁣ Ayesha at Last-- A P&P retelling with a Muslim twist. I'm afraid that while I loved the first half, the overabundance of plot lines and presence of several stereotypical characters ruined the book for me. ⁣ ⁣ 🔹Song of the Current duology-- Confession, I'm still in the middle of the second book but it's an okay read. I picked it up for the enemies to lovers trope and badass pirates but something just feels lacking. 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣ 🔹Ace of Shades-- I saw Six of Crows on the back and I had to try it! 😂⁣ Basically, a fun read but predictable. A bit confusing but still fresh! I'd give it 3/5 maybe? ⁣ ⁣ 🔹Stormdancer-- The first of The Lotus War trilogy and I buddy read it with @books.bags.burgers ! The first half is slow but once it gets going you're golden. 😍⁣ ⁣ 🔹THUG-- Beautiful and relevant. A contemporarie I'd always recommend.⁣ ⁣ 🔹 Book Love-- Adorable and so so relatable! I'm half convinced the author must have been spying on me. 😂⁣ ⁣ And that's it! Now I have to get back to real life. Dammit. 😅⁣ ⁣ Farha out! *tries to dab gracefully. But fails. Hello dearies! Sorry I've been MIA! We've been packing and pouring like crazy, plus we're getting married this month, so yeah: CRAZY! 🖤 I did manage to devour all 800 pages of The Bronze Horseman in the last week and I am OBSESSED! Patty (@accio_library) recommended this book to me and I feel bad because I've been talking her ear off about it, but I can't help it! It's so good! And it has rekindled my love for historical fiction. I can't wait to read some more hisfic soon. If you haven't read this book and you like historical fiction and romance and feeling all the damn feels, then please read this book! ★ What are your favorite enemies-to-lovers stories? One of mine is The Winner’s Curse trilogy by @marierutkoski! I love these books so much and still think about them a lot. The romance, the plot twists, the scheming and court intrigue … all top notch. I adore Kestrel and Arin. I am so glad @illumicrate recently did special editions of the trilogy, because it deserves some love, and of course, @elithienart did an incredible job on the cover art. Have you read The Winner’s Trilogy?
