also i’m really in love w/ the angle hi-rez have taken for set and his lore, it’s such a fascinating interpretation of osiris’ rule and it adds a new level of depth to his character that wouldn’t be there normally. it’s the same w/ hera and for that i’m just really happy w/ hi-rez for that hehe

why do you like ginhiji so much

There are so many reasons, honestly. They’re the only pairing I actually ship. There are other pairings I like, but none of them make me feel like GinHiji / HijiGin do. I made this post awhile back and it encompasses one of the things that I love, which is the progression of their relationship. I really liked them when they met for the second time on the rooftop early on and then from there I loved everything about their dynamic and how they grew together. They’ve always been equals, there isn’t any imbalance within the relationship. They understand each other, complement each other, and work so well together. 

They’re also there for each other during their hardest times like when Hijikata lost Kondo, Gintoki was right there with him to encourage him and help him through it. Hijikata is also the first and only person he has opened up to about his past willingly and he has done this without provocation on more than one occasion. It’s amazing. Gintoki barely opens up to anyone, but good lord, he trusts Hijikata so much now that he’ll open right up and tell him that he doesn’t know who his mother is or if he even has one. How incredible is that?!?! He doesn’t do that with anyone else! And I love how they bicker, but they’re always on the same page with each other and they’d never do anything to hurt one another. Like in the Baragaki arc once Gintoki saw that Hijikata was in deep shit, he flipped and was right there for Hijikata. Don’t even get me started on the Shinsengumi Crisis Arc when the Yorozuya went above and beyond to help Hijikata and the Shinsengumi. ((Plus we got to see Gintoki take down an entire fucking helicopter and it was fantastic.))

I could really go on and on about them. I love them soooo much LOL Like someone doesn’t write hundreds of fics about them unless they’re totally fucking taken with them hahaa I’ve been dedicated to them since I first started watching Gintama and the reasons to love the pairing are pretty infinite.
