the feminine dilemma of being torn between being a sunflower sunshine summer sprite and an ethereal midnight moon fairy
Not eating your love That's the toughest thing You offer it so ready to be tasted I'm careful to not scratch your hand By engulfing all you wished to give
I'm not hungry though Am happy to pinch a piece However I'll be deciding If it's a plate I can cook by myself Or a savory meal I can aftertaste
I want to be hungry however To salivate about your whole supper Body and soul, I want to yearn the bites Everything you put in display for me I'm hoping you'll be what my menu awaits
Baby you light up my world like nobody else 🤌✨❤️
I cannot ever be what I am not and I am done trying. I am not a sunny summer morning but a cool, damp fall afternoon.
Things I've learned -
1. Ice cream tastes 10x better when shared with someone you love.
2. If something or someone upsets you, you need to let them go.
3. Lose the argument if it saves you time and piece of mind.
4. Alcohol is bad for you, just like every other thing that looks pretty and makes you momentarily feel good.
5. There will always be people who will leave without saying goodbye.
6. Rock bottom is a good place to start.
7. Even 100 people calling you beautiful won't help you get rid of the ugliness you see in yourself, you have to do that on your own.
8. If you don't feel like doing something, say no and don't be ashamed.
9. Treasure your family, they love you more than you can understand.
10. Let your heart overuse, "I love you".

The lost door
A little way to the left is a door which has lost its key;
A key once gleaming and new, now rusty and forgotten;
It was lost amongst the passage of time;
It has seen pain, and loss, and anger, and hurt;
It was lost not casually, but on purpose;
It has hidden itself to protect the contents which it locks;
This key has been discovered
It has been found, that which protects the hidden room;
It opens a door which has unbearable pain;
It opens the door just a crack;
It lets out all that it has harbored before: grief, sadness, and longing
It lets iin all it had feared before: love, laughter, and joy
It has been restored.
You were there, craving love, craving attention. Hoping to be seen, hoping to be heard, hoping to be loved by someone specific.
I saw your pain.
I saw the good in you. I saw someone who was starving for affection, reaching for something they desperately needed but couldn't seem to find. And I couldn't just stand there watching you suffer.
So I did something I rarely do.
I reached out.
I usually keep my distance to protect myself, to protect my own heart, because I've learned that I can't offer half of a connection. If I let someone in, I care with my whole heart.
Your pain became my pain.
I tried my best to make you feel like you belonged. I understood you when others didn't. I defended you when others questioned you. I spoke on your behalf when your voice wasn't being heard. I wanted people to see what I saw in you.
I fought for you.
And eventually, we won.
You won the case.
But now I can't help feeling that I was only your lawyer. That my role ended the moment you no longer needed someone to stand in your defense.
Now I feel invisible.
Not worth your time. Not worth being truly seen. Not someone whose presence you miss.
Sometimes it feels as though your victory became my defeat.
Because somewhere along the way, I lost a friend.
And with that friendship, I feel like I lost my place too.
