A third baby? 👀 Don't blame me...blame Logan. 🫣
I might not have been paying attention but what happened to the third baby during the switch?
Hiya! :) It is explained in the book (which I very much recommend! :)). If you want to read the book and find out then stop reading now ❤.
...
In the book there is more about The Them and we find out that Tadfield as another gang lead by the boy 'Greasy Johnson', the gang is called the Johnsonites. We find out that Greasy Johnson is actually the third baby :). And there are some greats passages about the metaphors for The Them vs the Johnsonites / Hell vs. Heaven :):
"I dunno," said Pepper. "I mean, it wouldn't be so interesting without ole Greasy Johnson and his gang. When you think about it. We've had a lot of fun with ole Greasy Johnson and the Johnsonites. We'd probably have to find some other gang or something."
"Seems to me," said Wensleydale, "that if you asked people in Lower Tadfield, they'd say they'd be better off without the Johnsonites or the Them."
Even Adam looked shocked at this. Wensleydale went on stoically: "The old folks' club would. An' Picky. An'—"
"But we're the good ones . . ." Brian began. He hesitated. "Well, all right," he said, "but I bet they'd think it'd be a jolly sight less interestin' if we all weren't here."
"Yes," said Wensleydale. "That's what I mean."
"People round here don't want us or the Johnsonites," he went on morosely, "the way they're always goin' on about us just riding our bikes or skateboarding on their pavements and making too much noise and stuff. It's like the man said in the history books. A plaque on both your houses."
This met with silence.
"One of those blue ones," said Brian, eventually, "saying 'Adam Young Lived Here,' or somethin'?"
Normally an opening like this could lead to five minutes' rambling discussion when the Them were in the mood, but Adam felt that this was not the time.
"What you're all sayin'," he summed up, in his best chairman tones, "is that it wouldn't be any good at all if the Greasy Johnsonites beat the Them or the other way round?"
"That's right," said Pepper. "Because," she added, "if we beat them, we'd have to be our own deadly enemies. It'd be me an' Adam against Brian an' Wensley," She sat back. "Everyone needs a Greasy Johnson," she said.
"Yeah," said Adam. "That's what I thought. It's no good anyone winning. That's what I thought." He stared at Dog, or through Dog.
"Seems simple enough to me," said Wensleydale, sitting back. "I don't see why it's taken thousands of years to sort out."
And then on the airfield :):
"I just don't see why everyone and everything has to be burned up and everything," Adam said. "Millions of fish an' whales an' trees an', an' sheep and stuff. An' not even for anything important. Jus' to see who's got the best gang. It's like us an' the Johnsonites. But even if you win, you can't really beat the other side, because you don't really want to. I mean, not for good. You'll just start all over again. You'll just keep on sending people like these two," he pointed to Crowley and Aziraphale, "to mess people around. It's hard enough bein' people as it is, without other people coming and messin' you around."
Crowley turned to Aziraphale.
"Johnsonites?" he whispered.
The angel shrugged. "Early breakaway sect, I think," he said. "Sort of Gnostics. Like the Ophites." His forehead wrinkled. "Or were they the Sethites? No, I'm thinking of the Collyridians. Oh dear. I'm sorry, there were hundreds of them, it's so hard to keep track."

6 February 2020
I seem to only really post updates around the times of my appointments.
My next appointment is tomorrow at 1pm, which means that I'll end up seeing the doc around 2pm. (There's always a long wait.) Tomorrow we get to see the baby again! Depending on how far along the baby is measuring- should be between 8 weeks 6 days and 9 weeks 2 days- I'll hopefully be able to have the blood test done tomorrow to find out the gender. If the baby is measuring more like 9+weeks then I'm pretty sure they'll do it. With having two previous miscarriages and being super impatient, I want to know as soon as I can!
Everyone in my family is convinced that the baby is a girl. I have this gut feeling that it's a girl, but I really want a boy. My husband wants a girl. Honestly, we'll be happy as long as the baby is healthy!
Also, this is very important: this is as long as I've ever carried. So this feels like a really good thing. I'm very hopeful!
Day at the Beach
“Are we there yet?”
Sammie’s voice came from the back seat of the car, still too young to sit in the front seat with her brother. “No.” Jackson says from the driver’s seat, his eyes meeting hers in the rear view mirror. “Not yet, another fifteen minutes or so.”
“Why did we have to go to the farthest beach from home? Widewater Beach is closer and we’ve been there a thousand times.” The little girl says, placing her bookmark in her novel.
The man smirks. “Exactly, it’s time for a change in scenery.” He pauses, now serious. ” We need a few days to make new memories. By getting out of the house and to Virginia Beach, we will do just that.”
Sammie sighs, throwing her head back. “Fine. I don’t see how having fun without Mom and Dad is going to make this day any better.”
“They need their rest, Sammie.”
Space
Our bodies begin to make room the minute we conceive. From the very start the walls thicken and day by day, slowly, we have to make room. My hips and lower back already feel the weight of a heavy uterus. I am constantly aware now that there is a whole nother life in me, taking up space. I know as this baby grows it will take up more and more space. Expanding and stretching and growing and becoming. This baby is technically our fifth, our hopeful "here on Earth" third. Every day that I do not see the bright crimson when I go to wipe is a miracle.
As s/he grows, I wonder how different our lives will be. How before I even know it, s/he will take up space on the outside. I wonder if his/her older brother will want to share me...and if their older sister will ever leave them alone. The family dynamic will change, there's no doubt about that.
For now I lay on my side. Feeling my weight fall forward, feeling this tiny human taking up space. Pushing its way up and around. I am so glad that we decided to allow this space. I am so glad.
Guysssss they let me go home! 😁 I thought I made a post on Monday but I guess I was thinking of Facebook, that or tumblr ate it. I had an ultrasound before I left, Nugget was almost 5 lbs and my cervical length was still pretty long so my doctor let me go. I have to go back for an ultrasound and an appointment with him on Wednesday. If contractions become regular or if I have more bleeding than usual I have to back asap of course. It feels so awesome to be home. I slept for 12 hours last night and didn't wake up feeling my back and pelvis were about to break. I still have to take it easy and Andrew has been so good to help me with everything. The kids have been stuck to me like glue. I feel like a mom again. I'm so beyond grateful. Thank you God ❤️
So I did get transferred. I got here at 7 yesterday evening. My doctor here wants me here until I'm 34 weeks because of my history and being an hour away from a hospital equipped to deliver. Before I left the big hospital yesterday I was given an ultrasound, where a friable cervix was confirmed, instead of what they initially thought was a small placental abruption. Nugget is an estimated 3 lbs 10 oz and everything with him looks perfect. So now it's just trying to keep him cooking as long as possible. My cervical length was 2.6, with no funnelling so that's reassuring for now. This hospital sucks in comparison to the one I left though as far as food and showers go, but I'm trying not to dwell on it. Andrews bringing the kids to see me soon 😁
