Oh- Dude, I just had an idea! Maybe I'm slow on the uptake but! Maybe with Barbra's thing that she said once, "Anything is possible" when talking about a glitch being able to act like a human, and the fact that it really seems like *nothing* in the world is real. (People able to reset, just fixing up everything with the touch of a button) Maybe Miko is part of the 'real world' and so is some other people (Im thinking Barbra) and that's why she can't be reset? I dunno- Thoughts? ~Frog

“Aw but this is fun!” Cayde chuckled, and then his eyes locked onto Ash’s, and then he kissed her to make up for tickling her onto the floor. “That better?”

“Lots. Now c’mon, hope you’re ready to lose!”

To make the competition fair, Sundance had agreed to count for Ash, and Spark would count for Cayde. After a very quick countdown once they reached the planet, both Hunters took off in opposite directions.

“So what’s your plan?” Sundance asked Ash as she stalked silently through The Tangle.

“Do the opposite of Cayde. He’s gonna rush in and scare them all away. Me? Quickly take them all out, surprise them all. They’ll never see it coming.” Ash explained.

“That’s a good plan Toriel. But will it be good enough?”

“Aw c’mon Sundance, don’t you love me like I love you? I already know Sparks gonna get bribed by Cayde to help him, but I love you almost as much as I love Cayde. Wanna be a part of the winning team and get to rub it in Cayde’s face?”

Sundance didn’t hesitate, and she immediately set to work helping Ash just as Spark was doing. An hour flew by quickly, and they returned to Artifacts Edge to count the scores.

Cayde scored 237.

Ash scored 312.

“Looks like I’ve gotta make an announcement!” Cayde laughed, giving Ash a celebratory hug before they left for the Tower.

Cayde and Ash snuck into the Tower’s new PA system room, and the microphone and control desk sat on a table at the back of the room.

“Remember to say my name.” Ash whispered, and pressed the microphone button down for him.

“This is Cayde-6 alerting all Guardians that Ashlynn Grace Toriel is a better Hunter than me... and I lost a bet but I love her. Six out.” Cayde blurted out before backing away from the microphone. Ash let go of the button and smiled at him.

“That was perfect!” She laughed, and then she noticed how embarrassed he looked. She felt guilty. And she knew exactly how to cheer him up. “C’mon let’s go get some ramen.”

“You always know just what to say.” Cayde cheerily answered, draping his arm over Ash’s shoulder as they left the room in high spirits.
