obi-wan went from being the rebellious "difficult" child nobody wanted to train to being the young single parent of an even more rebellious even more difficult child even fewer people wanted to have around let alone train, immediately after losing his own master (whose life obi-wan had to save twice before he was convinced he was worthy of being trained). he went from losing sleep over qui-gon's reluctance to keep him to jolting awake in the middle of the night worried that anakin might have the same fears about him. he went from being a smart but inexperienced padawan to being a sith killer jedi knight in charge of training a nuclear bomb of a child. he is angry that qui-gon and the council "plopped anakin at the bottom of an impossible mountain and asked him to climb it in the dark with his boots laced together" yet he fails to see qui-gon and the council did the exact same thing to him
