The Day after the Election

Today I woke up to find that Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States. Now this does not bother me. No matter who one the popular vote or the electoral vote, he will be the next president of the United States of America.

But what truly bother me the most is that we have forgotten one things. Which is to LOVE your neighbors. That one word LOVE, we same seem to forgotten. Now whether you are religious or not, this story has been coming back to me all day. 

The Greatest Commandment

“One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, ‘Of all the commandments, which is the most important?’ ‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: “Hear, O Israel the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and all your strength.” The second is this: “Love your neighbor as yourself” there is no commandment greater than these.” “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far form the kingdom of God.” And from the on no one dared ask him any more questions.” Mark 12: 28 - 34, New International Version 

Now we must remember this, to love your neighbor as yourself. Republicans do not tell Democrats “I told you so” or call them any names. Democrats do not tell Republicans that they ruined this country and the Donald Trump is not your president. This will not solve anything. We must now show the world that Republicans and Democrats can love one another and show respect for one another.
