I am so glad he is my ex now, too!! I texted him to be like WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING and he's coming up with a million excuses like it's a completely normal thing to randomly stumble upon someone's tumblr whom you know... which in most cases, sure, but not when stalking me like this was a massive issue in our relationship.

Ugh. so fucking done with men right now. if I had any doubts about ending that relationship, they've left the building.

ohhhh the pressure! especially if the anxiety is hammering away, which already makes eating a task. I just have to keep reminding myself that I can eat at my own pace, or I can get up and eat on my own if I really need to, or at the end of the day it's nobody's business how much I eat. 

I got through most of it though!

As I promised this morning, here's a spoken word. Not mine this time. It's a wonderful poem "Going South" by the wonderful Hallie from thiswrittensilence. I promised to do a spoken word of one of her pieces. Something really caught my eye in this poem, she has many great ones, but this one really moved me.

1. Why did you initially join tumblr? well, for this account, it was to meet people who actually understood what it's like living with a foggy brain - and I've been lucky in that I've met some truly beautiful souls here since. <3

2. How has this year been to you? hellish, but ultimately necessary and nourishing, I think? there was a lot that needed to be purged from my life, followed by some recuperation. nervous breakdown, a bereavement, briefly dropping out of my studies, break-up of a relationship, finally getting help... but also re-establishing friendships, getting to know myself better, feeling more at peace with myself, and some wonderful experiences. [rammstein, a japanese buddhist monk, and MICHAEL PALIN!]

3. What is a long-term goal in your life? to continue the Palin thene/excitement, here's a quote to mull over:

'I can be on the Amazon in a little tiny boat and think back to when I was a child reading stories. I can make the two connections. I love then to be quiet and to be just on my own and let those things come into my mind and think, “God what a life. What a life.”’

essentially I want to be able to look back, and have lived an interesting life. the man sums it up well. those moments of "my goodness, I've dreamt about this, and now I can't quite believe that I'm really here." life is extraordinary.

4. Movies (or shows, etc. etc.) or music? Favourite? pfffffft. I prefer films to music, I suppose? rammstein & kate bush & bjork, I guess. have i got news for you & the thick of it & mad men & father ted. lost in translation is my all time favourite film, I think.

5. What’s your favourite thing to do in your spare time? sticking pins into little voodoo dolls of male politicians. 

6. Do you believe in life after death? I like the idea of planting trees over graves. that, and the way we touch the lives of others is living after we pass on, I think. 

7. Description of your favourite place? any place I'm in good company, with lots of laughter. along the coast. my little nook in the arts library, looking out over the lake. the archaeological museum. my grandparents' house. with my family or friends. my BED. <3

8. Description of where you’re usually on tumblr? my hermit lair. 

9. Special talent? I can scratch the top of my head with my toes???? 

10. Ideal job? ohh hmmm. political satirist/writer/academic/broadcaster/NGO worker/MEP. EDITOR OF PRIVATE EYE. making documentaries. travelling and meeting people. educating.

11. Something you must do before you die? as the lovely charly said: live.

Best living memory? ARGH ohhhhhh jesus there are a lot. discovering I hadn't failed my final exams. seeing rammstein. all of the births of my nieces & nephews. my relationship with T. everything about rome. MEETING MICHAEL PALIN hehe!

And the worst? my mum dying. 

The grossest thing your school ever produced and called ‘dinner’: the school I went to in england was just gross all together, ngl. the other I brought packed lunches lolololololol.

What is your life dream? pipe dream is to be a MEP, I guess. otherwise - be happy, loving family & wonderful friends, travel ALOT, do something noteworthy???
