after putting river to bed and getting a shower in, she texted ash to come over to hang out. they'd been doing this for as long as she could remember, but tonight she needed something more from him. she hadn't been with anyone outside of river's dad and that was over a year ago. she hummed softly as she waited and when the front door opened, she smiled up at him and wrinkled up her nose. "hi," she said softly and beckoned him over. "we're gonna do things a little differently tonight..." she murmured and bit into her lower lip. she grabbed his hand and tugged him towards her.

IT WAS EASY TO FORGET THAT REAL LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE CLUB ALSO EXISTED, that the days passed by one after the other in the same way that they did within the walls of the clubhouse. the brunette could barely remember the last time she left, let alone the last time she put on any real clothes to do so - but days like these still came around. evenings when she got to help out where needed because otherwise she'd go batshit crazy in the empty house. the boys were all out on a run to the beighbouring chapters, all busy with their own less-than-legal brand of business. Anna had no right to know any details and it's not like she even attempted to pry into it. no, let them have their secrets. as long as they kissed her like she was their treasure and fucked her like she was their whore. that's all she needed.

"well look who it is." the brunette commented a few hours into her shift, grinning as her favorite boys walked into the bar - all safe, all in one piece, or at least as far as she could tell. the roar of the harleys' engine alerting her to their arrival moments before they all walked into the bar to greet her and get a drink. she quickly found him pushing through the crowd of brothers and other clients, her attention immadiately pinned on him. "did you have fun?" Anna asked, grabbing the man by the front of his leather jacket, pulling him towards her as she leaned over the bar counter top and stole a kiss "did you kiss any other whores?"

the memories of the night before came flooding back as her gaze followed the water droplets trailing down his body. a shiver ran through her and the blonde quickly shook her head, trying to keep it clear for whatever this conversation had to be. the temptation to slip out of his shirt and join him in the shower pulled at her like a magnet. still, delia only stepped a little further into the bathroom, keeping a careful distance from another regrettable decision. " does the way of regret actually matter? it’s there. no matter how amazing last night was, there’ll always be a shadow over it. with who my family is and all that… " almost without realizing it, she took another step closer. all she wanted was to feel him again, to forget everything else for a moment. something that felt a lot harder now, with daylight spilling through the windows. " i should leave, shouldn’t i? go back to my own hotel room and pretend last night never happened. " it was the last thing delia actually wanted to do, but she had already caused enough of a mess for him if anyone found out where she had spent the night.

IT'S THE TELLTALE SLOWING OF BREATH, the tingles in her toes that tells her she's been here for too long already. but the body pressed against her is comfortable, the heat of sheets hugging her so inviting that maybe, just maybe, she can convince herself this is not such a sin after all. but even then she needs to go back to the ocean, like always. the burning will start soon, the searing pain of evaporation if she does not let the sea swallow her. « i have to go, » isla mutters, rolls over to eye her company, company she's certain would not have her here in the first place if they knew.

SHE KNEW BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE that this would be the only place to look for him in moments like these. the woman closed the wooden door behind her, careful not to startle the animals in the nearest stalls, shushing the black mare that huffed at the interruption to her meal. Lily shook her head in amusement, finding some of them so similiar to the man that bought them off the market. the man that cared for them. the man that spent too much of his time in the stable when life bothered him.

"why do I always find you among the stacks of hay and horse shit whenever times get tough?" Lily teased, pressing a kiss to her favorite's head - the grey mare that had started it all. the horse that caught her attention and in return guided her towards him. "it's late." the woman hummed softly, moving to walk towards the tall man, closer to where she could stand slightly behind him and wrap slender arms around his waist from behind "I thought you were lost to whiskey with the rest of the boys."
