All Grown Up
Bryson didn’t know how long it had been since he’d seen Stella last. And by Stella, he meant his best friend’s little sister Stella. She was the kind of girl that you wouldn’t really notice because she was much younger than you, just your buddy’s little sibling that liked to tag along. It was different from having a little brother, a protegee that you can mold into your right hand man. No, having Stella around when the guys were growing up just seemed to be a nuisance. He really didn’t pay attention to her at all back in the day, and he certainly wasn’t paying attention to her the day he left for college.
But now that he was visiting home again, stopping by the Wagner house to see his second parents, he certainly wasn’t expecting little girl Stella to be all grown up. He actually didn’t realize it was her until she said something. When he walked up the familiar walkway to the front door, being courteous for once and knocking rather than just going in, he thought he had the wrong house. “Is this the Wagner house? I mean I know I’ve been gone for a while, but I could have sworn my memory wasn’t that bad.”
