delphine is nervous when she gets to guy’s place. she’s gotten herself worked up and convinced that the invite was out of politeness more than actual invitation but she’s taken him up on it, so there’s no going back for either of them on it now. she takes a deep breath and gets out of the car, bottle of wine and flowers in hand, hauling ass to the door to knock before she loses all her nerve.

Delphine is happy for the time away from all the pressures of the city. She used to think Lyle was crazy for moving out here to the middle of the nowhere, but she’s starting to see the appeal. This morning she’s decided to talk a walk around, see the rest of the farm. She’s got her headphones in, music playing softly as she makes her way around the property. She stops when she sees someone with the animals, startled for a moment before remembering Lyle told her he had a neighbor coming by to help with them, only the name he gave is escaping her. She makes her way over. “Good morning! You’re, uh, you’re...don’t tell me, I know this, Lyle told me...Guy! Right? Did I get that right?”
