It was a clear night out on Arcadia. Perfect for stargazing albeit a little cold out. But that didn’t stop Elli from putting on a light jacket and heading over towards the observatory. As she walked she listened to the crickets as she walked and the occasional owl’s hoot. It was a peaceful night, comparable to the empty loneliness she felt inside herself.
Once she reached the tower’s door she felt herself hesitate a moment. This would be her first time using the place rather than finding a clearing to lay in. It was a bit too cold for such an act, but up until this point she’d always visited the stars by herself.
In the end her longing won out as she tried the door. It opened, but she didn’t see anyone immediately inside. “Hello?” she called out, closing the door behind her to keep the cold air out.
