Gaius caught himself in a little predicament.
He’s got a cool sword, with no knowledge on how to use it. Neat! If it was any other day, he’d have experimented on it no sweat. Unfortunately (or fortunately..?) for him, the latest incident in the monastery placed everyone on guard when it came to reckless usage of magic. The kid either got hurt badly, or died. The rumors varied but all Gaius knows is someone got zapped. Big time.
Probably not the best time to play around with a lightning sword.
Still! It didn’t count as playing around if you actually placed effort in it or had someone knowledgeable be around to assist him. He’d approach a teacher, but the one he heard of from the faculty was... occupied.
His next best bet was find someone else, be it student or faculty, that looked like they had time to spend for someone like him, and maybe lend him a hand. He walked around the monastery, pretending to scout if anyone of authority passes by. It takes him a while, and he almost gave up, but eventually, he finds him.
Long robes that reminded him of Bubbles... a unique shade of green hair... yep, seems geeky enough.
“Hey there! Got time to spare?” He approached him with a wide grin, one hand waved. “You look smart, any chance you’re good with magic?”
