benny knew he had some strength but kirby had pulled him across the parking lot without him really expecting it. he stumbled into the shop, a puff of air leaving his lips as he shook his head. “thanks for making me look like a goof.” he mumbled to his golden retriever and pushed some of his hair back as he looked up and his eyes met, who he assumed to be, one of the groomers. that, or a receptionist. he wanted to make an excuse or say something that would get off the fact that he was talking to his dog like he were some species that could talk back to him but he didn’t. instead, he stepped closer to the counter, “i probably should’ve called but,” he cleared his throat, “kirby wanted to go on a ride anyways. is his appointment today or tomorrow?”
