       duri had always found this whole thing a bit odd, but he wasn’t really ever able to put his finger on it. every time he thinks upon something for base complex, his mind goes back to a conversation that he had with hyeju last year about being turned into three-dimensional models or even ai avatars, which seemed to be what was being pushed for this. maybe it would be good for fans to feel closer to idols, to get a picture with an idol they always wanted to meet? but, it did still feel a bit odd in a way and he felt like he couldn’t put his finger on the thoughts that he was having. it couldn’t be that bad, right? nonetheless, he was going today to do the shooting for the vr photo-booth. 

he had first seen the stylist to dress him in something for the shoot, as well as going to the salon to get his hair and makeup done for it. he was very much in that knight boyfriend style, to really help it fully sell. he had made his way in and a familiar person is see, a giggle leaving his lips. “taejin!” he called out. “ah, we’re always at base complex at the same time, aren’t we?” he said, a happy giggle leaving his lips once more.

       after finding himself talking to industry insiders - a conversation that he found himself getting sucked into and simply listening to them talk, as if he was fully aware of the knowledge that they were talking about, he decided to go more into the party. his eyes had looked around for familiar faces that he could approach and get to do an activity with him because he was looking forward to doing some of them. he would take a sparkling mineral water, sipping upon it as he had looked around. 

once he was finished with his first sparkling mineral water of the evening, he finds taejin somewhere in the crowd. with his warm smile, he makes his way up to taejin, before tapping upon his shoulder. “taejin!” he says, with a soft giggle. “ah, even with a mask on, i can still spot you,” he added onto his greeting. “do you want to do an activity with me?” he asked. “like doing the hedge maze?”

     duri was rather excited about the whole idea of submitting a food idea for the menu at the culture complex café. it was something that was very much in his realm, as he really, really just loves cooking a lot. not the mention, he showed his love for it on korea masterchef celebrity; which he later won, proving to himself that he is actually a good cook and people considering the fact that he could easily be a chef. maybe that’s what he would have been if he didn’t go into music. but, either way, he’s really happy being an idol, as that’s his dream. nonetheless, to reiterate, he’s excited about submitting an item to be considered. 

he had decided to go with his hotteok recipes. it followed the regular type of hotteok, but he added a lot of different things to it, for a rather sweet treat. it seemed like a good idea and it also very much follows how duri is. warm and sweet, one of the best treats to eat whenever you want to warm up. sure, it’s street food, but he felt like this brought it over the top for a café setting. he was sat down, awaiting for his time to showcase his idea, with the hotteok wrapped up. his eyes meet someone, before his smile grows, and an excited, “taejin!” leaves his lips, calling the other over.

        he had been sat somewhere in the building, coffee in his hand for the time being. he was waiting for his time to do the shoot for the video that was requested of all idols. he was simply just kind of staring, eyes situated outside of a window, as he thought of what he was going to discuss for this intro video for the culture complex. he feels like there’s so much that he could possibly go over, things that he could choose to say for this whole thing; but, he felt like he was stuck at a standstill for what to do. he almost felt like he couldn’t do trainee days; as he didn’t do it for all that long - he was on the shorter end, so he probably didn’t have much of an accurate tell all for such a thing. maybe he could talk about songs? ah, it was a hard choice, wasn’t it?

his hand moves the cup to his lips, taking a sip of the coffee. it was his usual order of coffee, completely black, and just sweetened by the mocha that was swirled around in there. he’s quite a fan of having mocha, even if he should probably just drink it straight black. but, the mocha just made it better, in his opinion. he didn’t need anymore of a mood booster, but it seemed to really sky rocket his mood. he brings the cup back down, back to it’s resting position. he notices someone come up, standing up to greet them. he already had a smile placed upon his lips, but upon noticing who it was, his smile grew bigger. “ah, taejin! hello!” he greets, giving the other a bow. he at least remembered to stop calling him sunbaenim. “you’re here too for the intro video shooting?” he asked. “have you decided on a topic? i can’t seem to choose.” he giggled.
