Christmas morning came early--very early in the Parker household. All thanks to Peter and Amelia’s lovable bundle of fluff named Ben that wanted the bone from his stocking and their little angel Belle wanting to see if Santa had come. So, with Peter carrying Belle and Amelia carrying Ben, the family made their way downstairs.
Once Belle was preoccupied with one of her presents, and Amelia had a mug of coffee ready for both Peter and her, she put the blue box down on her husband’s lap with a tired but happy smile. “Merry Christmas, Spidey,” she murmured before giving him a kiss.
Of course Ben wanted to start immediately chomping on his bone and the doggie friendly cookies Amelia baked him, but first thing first... She put their pup into his Christmas outfit for a couple of pictures, just to wear while they opened presents. He did protest a little bit but Amelia got the reindeer outfit on and managed to snag a couple of pictures before letting the Corgi free of his costume.
Amelia managed to get her daughter to stop playing with the plush unicorn to make her open another present: a red dress to wear for the Christmas party tonight with ‘Uncle Tony’ and the rest of the Avengers. “Daddy, look! I get to be a princess!” she chimed.
Belle pouted slightly when Amelia told her she had to wait until tonight to open it, but she had a secret smile when she said that she could wear this next one, this ‘special present from Santa’. Belle opened it up on her own, and their little girl was so shocked, she couldn’t speak.
“What did Santa bring you, sweetie?” Amelia asked playfully.
“He-He-He got me a Rey costume with her staff like I wanted!” Belle answered in one breath, looking up at her parents. “Does this mean I get to be a Jedi, too?”
“Yes, you’re a Jedi, Belle.” She got up to help her daughter change into her costume, saying she could go play in the playroom after she showed it off to her father, before she ran to go play with her other toys, Ben dutifully following her.
And for her husband? A Star Wars hoodie, since New York winters were still a bear, even for a Queens native like Peter and...a pair of tickets for the new movie. A date night, just for the two of them.
A new girl was brought into the New York high school, she had a dog on a leash that had a harness showing he was a service dog. Hel was partially deaf and the dog was there to make sure that she didn’t get run over as well as was able to function properly. Hel knelt down and picked up the small toasted marshmallow dog and walked into her class nervously. She held a piece of paper out to the teacher and signed, ‘Hello, I was told this would be my first class. My name is Hel Laufeydottir.’
“name’s spoiler. thought we stablished that last time.” it sounds harsh even in her ears, but she doesn’t do anything to amend it. “and i’m fine, thank you.” she wasn’t--and she wasn’t really in the mood to talk about THAT, no matter how much she knew she should.
The Parker family were all bundled up with their Winter clothes. Even the beloved Corgi Ben had on booties for his paws and a sweater. They left for the local park to enjoy the newly fallen snow. Amelia was holding their pup while Belle was seated on her father’s shoulder’s, laughing and smiling about the snow.
It was a big day today; it was Steve’s 100th birthday. The Tower was decked out in red, white, and blue birthday decorations, and Amelia had baked him a special cake in honor for his birthday.
“Happy birthday, Captain!” she chimed when she brought it out.
Gwen usually tried not to get involved, she was still a stranger in this world. But sometimes when you saw something you had to act. Like when one of this world’s super villains was tearing through Manhattan. Right now she was just trying to keep him contained and the people safe, she had no idea what kind of powers this guy had.
As he threw some debris she caught it with her webs and wrapped it up just a few more times to be safe. Of course when she turned she came face to face with someone she never thought she’d see again. Peter Parker, standing right in front of her. It was a moment of deja vu. It stopped her for a moment. But she couldn’t let this distract her.
“Get these people to safety,” she gestured at the people around them. “I’ll keep this guy busy until the big shots get here.”
Now would be a great time for Spider-Man to show up.
