i think it only struck a nerve because among my ships, im pretty shy about how much i like it and im rarely asked anything in relation to it. so when one of the only asks i received was kinda negative i just got mopey on my own. ya know when you realize you were more sensitive about somethiing than you thought AFTER someone ribs you about it? kinda like that. like ‘i dont mind weight jokes, im confident in my appearance’ and then someone makes a fat joke about you good-naturedly and you’re like ‘I LITERALLY ASKED FOR THIS BUT APPARENTLY I WAS NOT AS SECURE AS I THOUGHT I WAS’
