Decided to log in to HSR to check for free wishes and do the new guy's tryout out of purely morbid curiosity... hmm, 5-star Moze, mkay. Then I remembered my "oops I logged into the wrong server" baby EU gang on the f2p challenge account, and figured I'd go burn their wish stash for the lulz. Turns out they had a bigger stash than I remembered, and they bagged Ashveil and failed to get Hyacine before running out of wishes.

I mean, this is their roster, and they've essentially been ignored since seeing who their guaranteed standard 5-star would be (Gepard):

They're technically set up quite nicely for a newbie account but I don't actually care. Still mildly funny, so they get immortalized on tumblr today.

Fun with "what happens if we put the new Dan Heng in DPS gear?"

This is the f2p challenge gang's variant of mister sexy-dragon-pants, and while he has a perfectly fine set of meta gear, I decided to throw him some hand-me-down DPS goodies and see what he can do. The damage shot above is from normal play against a group of critters in Amphoreus. Not bad, I say, especially considering his crit ratio in this test gear is "meh." His skill gives about 1k in shields and the summon gives about 500. His summon DPS did up to 90k while I was testing but I didn't manage a test against 5 critters (fairly sure there's at least 4 enemies getting hit by his ult above which inflates the numbers).

In a regular group playing as support, he seems to do fine, but then I'm used to running crit Aventurine whose shields are lower than his meta build. The tricky part with DPS Carry Dan, though, is actually keeping him in carry mode properly. You can't use autoplay, because he will target another support for his skill. In the screenshot group, Dan will target Sunday, so then Sunday targets himself with both his own skill and ult buffs. You have to hand-play to keep Dan carrying and make sure you don't pick the wrong character for buffs.

I think I'll fine-tune this build to boost his crit ratio and see where it goes. :3

Weird Divergent Universe variant this week for the f2p challenge gang to try and run properly, but they do have E6 Luka built hybrid bleed/break so he got to carry for once. Honestly wasn't great, but he's so niche and I probably need to pick a side with him (bleed or break). Or just go back to forgetting he's in my roster. ^^;;

Since the new patch reset all saves, today's resulting destruction / nihility weakness-break gimmick file was, I thought, going to be garbage for farming... until Castorice blared out the screen with this:

Not to be outdone by the f2p challenge's DPS Dan "whoops all supports" Divergent Universe run this week, the very-much-not-f2p main America account decided to play copycat... and had much better luck. Remind me to bring Danny Boy a cup of tea and never, ever piss him off.

Well, I haven't improved his crit ratio yet, but this week's DU run was officially carried by DPS Dan "Terravox" Heng and thus the team ended up being "Oops, All Supports" by default. I started with crit Luocha in the final slot and eventually realized they were further ahead bringing the other crit shielder with my custom build for extra crit damage buffs and effect resist.

The above screenshot damage is Dan's ult for 4.3 mil and then his summon follow-up for 3.3 mil. What's important to remember is while that's not super-duper-amazing compared to something like The Herta going nuts, Dan is doing that damage all the time. It's quite a different strategy from what I'm used to, as I'm not even normal attacking with him because it seems best to purely use his skill to get that lovely ult back as often as possible. In this team specifically, Sunday is also hella boosting Dan's dragon-tailed ass... though Sunday really, really wants to buff himself lmao. He's apparently so done with these guys.

I'm pretty sure the final Elation equation gimmick hit for 100 mil right at the end of the Pollux fight but I didn't get a screenshot and that is a lot of digits to parse quickly without heckin' commas. Three-star equations were Tearless Garden, Beastkin, and Winged Tiger.

EU server, custom crit Aventurine build (see end of post).

I hadn't tried this Divergent Universe bonus-goodies goal yet on any playthrough, and my critters on EU are my weakest roster. Anaxa failed soloing the end boss today during my usual run of the weekly variant (got CC'd in phase 3) and I redid the fight with a full team out of annoyance. But then I thought... what if I run through the entire thing again with buffs designed purely around Señor Gambler-kun?

Whaddayathink, boyo? Can we do this?

Yes. Yes we can. The fight took a while, but the main thing I was worried about was that phase 3 crowd-control debuff. Aventurine merrily resisted it every time Hoolay fired it off, thanks in part to copious amounts of sustain built up during the run. Good normal attacks averaged about 200-400k, though most of his damage was from follow-ups.
