It's crazy how Susie and Noelle have a festival date scheduled for the next chapter and if you look at 90% of deltarune shipping content you wouldn't even know

I have no idea if I've seen this before or not, but Dragon Age/Antiva/Antivan Crow headcanon time:
I like to believe there's a national dance that's inspired by the (in)famous guild. Semi-based off of traditional dances from Spain and Northern Italy but imagine if it involved ribbons (or even masks depending on the region.) But anyway, just imagine!
It's a dance and you've the "Crow" partner (symbolized by a silver or black ribbon) and the "Mark" Partner (which is indicated by a red ribbon.)
And basically the dance is the Crow going after the Mark with lots of intimate intertwining fingers, dips, and swishing of ribbons around before finally the Mark is "dead" in the Crow's arms by the end.
This is not me justifying having a cool dance for my Rook and Lucanis to have. Nope no not at all. Don't know what you're talking about. Nope
You know, at first I wasn't sure why people were making such a big deal about this...
Because all he's saying is that MAYBE Susie has feelings for Noelle, which is... Something you can also glean that from like, actually playing the game. But now I'm starting to think that in this fandom that is so obsessed with Noelle's eventual heartbreak or even humiliation that it's important for people to see the near certainty of reciprocation in Toby's own words. God's strongest yuri soldier Tricky Tony didn't write these two characters in such a way for people to treat their relationship potential as just another red herring
Because even if we don't get an onscreen kiss or admission of undying love, Suselle is still important to the story he wants to tell
I'm reminded of a video from before Chapter 3 & 4 came out that was treated as a "debate" between Suselle and Krusie being Endgame (It was anything but). I was astounded by the way Toby was being portrayed as this totally unbiased storyteller only concerned with how the audience would react to things, rather than a human being who might write the kind of things HE LIKES into his stories
They also argued that the story of Noelle lending Susie a pencil was "too specific" and that apparently meant... Susie came up with it on the spot to placate Noelle's curiosity? This is honestly the gravest insult to Toby's romantic writing I've ever heard spoken. I might have to assign you all yuri homework until you understand that the story of a loaned pencil recounted on a heart-covered ferris wheel is nothing short of the equivalent of an open-mouth kiss in a traditional romantic movie!
If you want to experience this game the way Toby intended you need to be more yuri-brained! You are failing Tricky Tony's open book quiz!
I'm kinda obsessed with the people that claim that Cosmic Princess Kaguya isn't a romance because at some point you're just making the story worse for yourself...
Like Iroha starts the movie as a top student with multiple skills that could lead a well paying job down the line, so even if she's sleep-deprived & struggling her future prospects still look good. However by the end the story she's begging her brother for money to fund her unpopular research that seemingly only benefits one other person? She's either doing it for love or she's a washout who wasted her potential
But the film language portrays her as a confident & well-adjusted adult finally going after what she wants for the first time, so anyone portraying Kaguya & Iroha as "gal pals" probably just doesn't understand movies
I can't believe Andrew Hussie got a chance to influence Deltarune and just pitched another elaborate celebrity bust puzzle
I'll never understand the fascination...
The Suselle discourse on twitter is kinda blowing my mind because it implies that in a seven chapter story that's not about romance there needs to be direct romantic reciprocation by chapter 4... And if not the whole premise of this ship is paper thin and should be discarded
Because I've been in the trenches for this ship since 2018 and we couldn't have dreamed their relationship would've progressed this far in so few chapters. Toby wrote a novel's worth of interaction between Susie and Noelle for players to obsess over and this still isn't good enough for some people
Which is probably a good sign that nothing will be good enough for them
While it's important to point out how transphobia and transmisogyny factor into the negative responses to June Egbert, it's also important to point out all the ways in which it is just plain misogyny. To be a female character is to be lessened for many people, they see a character becoming a woman as a flattening of a complex character because women can only be surface-level characters in their minds. June Egbert can only be the removal of representation for them because in all the ways in which men are allowed to be complex and multifaceted women are an absence. June is made invisible, removed from the public eye
And of course we all know the misogyny reserved for girls who get in the way of a popular slash ship... Now imagine if that girl is the transfem version of one of the boys in the slash pairing and the ship is literally every mlm pairing that character was a part of. That is truly the formula for a level of misogynistic backlash many of us just aren't ready for...
And there's the fact that the "radioactive fox" npc was supposed to appear in the Hotland where a song originally created for Homestuck plays
He had a sunglasses-wearing skateboarding self-insert that only appears in the land of heat and clockwork that got cut from the final game... Mysterious
