Comic: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2024)

For your TMNT fic, I was wondering since you're ignoring the canon heights, how tall are the turtles (in ft and inches)? April and Casey too, maybe even Splinter. I don't think you ever stated how much bigger the turtles actually were, or maybe you did, its been a bit, maybe I forgot something.

Anyways, this is important information for both visualization purposes while reading, and for when I can finally get back into drawing more consistently and make some fanart for your fic. I was thinking of making like a little height chart thing for both myself and for the other readers, so they can compare the height they chose for their reader to Donnie, or any of the other characters if I decide to draw them. I'll just do Donnie first for now, maybe I'll even do a little character line-up, we'll have to see.

When I finish it, I'll just put it in the Ao3 comment section of the most recent chapter (Hopefully I can figure out how to add images to comments, I know its possible) so no need to go to a different site to view it if you want to see it.

I wanted to ask for your opinion instead of making up my own heights because this is for you, so you get to chose! I just love this story. The writing and characterization are interesting and fun. I had a blast reading this fic of yours and to show my appreciation I'm making some fanart for you. (And for my own self-indulgent purposes.)

I'm so glad you're enjoying the fic and I'm flattered that people want to make fanart of it!! This is the first fic of mine people have been so engaged in and it's been so fun for me.

I did kind of hand wave the heights haha you're right, I think I mentioned Donnie's about 6' and then never mentioned it again, whoops. It just bothers me that looking at all of the huge mutants in the series, the guys are kind of some of the shortest?? Like Donnie is 5'6" in 2012, and Raph is 5.0'? Mikey is 4'11"?? Wittle baby turts pat on the head?? And then comparing that to Bayverse where they're absolutely hulking and approaching 7 feet? Wild haha.

For where the fic is right now I'd probably say Donnie is right at 6' 1", Leo is 5'10", Raph is probably 5'8" and Mikey is 5'5". I might also make Casey a tad taller because I like the idea of him competing in Donnie with height too haha, maybe he's right at 6'. I'm not gonna mess with April or Splinter or anyone else's heights.

That being said, I might make the guys age out to be a little taller as time progresses, so they'll probably each get two or three more inches by the end of the fic.
