clair has done her due diligence in the days since running into todd at the boardwalk. the original juice bar she wanted to reach out to didn’t return her inquiry, but upon learning that they’d been covered by nbc, she figured she could review a new place. thus she’d created a short day trip where they’d begin with sambo’s, right on the water, and then travel a short five minutes inland to pressed juicery. the menu items are incredibly different between the locales, but she’s looking forward to being able to explore this combination.
she’s already set up a dash cam and a rearview mirror camera, so she doesn’t have to vlog and drive, though she does do a bit of context shots in the morning, introducing what she’s going to be doing for the day, talking a little bit about how she’s going to have a guest on the show, etc. that she films with her vlogging camera, which she’s going to use for the day, though she does have a bigger camera that she’ll use for time lapses, b-roll, etc.
it’s going to be a good drive, but might be a little long, depending on california traffic, and she checks her car to make sure that she has enough chargers and that her text to todd had gone through. she’ll meet him at cafe d’auclaire, pick up some coffee for the drive, and then get started. excitement bubbles in her chest as she drives over, pleased that she’d just gotten darcy cleaned out in time for this venture.
she parks in front of the cafe, hopping out and shooting off a quick text to let todd know she’s arrived. with that, she ducks into the cafe, tucking her phone away and getting ready to order.
