I also love Paulina and I can't stop thinking about how her relationship with William would've been in the earlier versions of the show. Definitely rocky at first lol, that kid is very misogynistic. Anyway, it would be very very interesting to see them interacting, I love every version of these silly kids!! (Sorry to send this ask, but I just love your art and your world-building/headcanons)

And yeah, a misogynistic puritan boy in the modern day would be one heck of a character arc. But I think he would have become a fan favourite because of it to be honest. Everyone loves a bad but sad boy. :P

From the premise of his character, it sounds like him and Luz would have the same development as Luz and Hunter. So I'm confident he would turn a leaf and abandon his old way of thinking, as it doesn't serve him in this new world he lives in.

Paulina strikes me as just being Willow, with a different design. But I also think, from the concept art, that the culture/system would've been different on the Boiling Isles. I think, maybe, Hexside and the coven system may not have been entirely a thing. Maybe something similar to a magic slotted system, but not entirely like what we got.

So I think maybe Paulina wouldn't have been a classmate, but perhaps the world would function more like an old human medieval town would.

I base that on nothing but presumptions and visual vague cues, though.
