Sometimes while travelling, going back to civilization was necessary, no matter how much Tamaki preferred nature over cities.
The only problem was how easily excited some of his pokemon were, and a big city like the one they stopped at was just like a very big playground for them.
Honestly, he should’ve expected this- he did expect this, he told them over and over again to not run off like always because getting lost in a city could be dangerous... and yet the second they put a foot into the city, Torchic jumped off his shoulder and ran off with what sounded like a very excited chirp. And bumped into someone’s leg.
“Torchic wait- I-I’m sorry!” Moving fast, he picked up the pokemon before he could run off again. “He hasn’t r-really seen a city this big before... S-sorry...”
