Xio I love this ask but it was weirdly harder than I expected? The Jiang Cheng ones all have a theme, see if you can spot it (hint: it is sadness. Jiang Cheng is well sad here sorry folks). Here goes!
♦️ unlike most sect leaders he doesn’t sleep in a tent to himself on night hunts. It started as a necessity post-war because supplies were limited, and if anyone asks he has a very rehearsed answer about connecting with his disciples but really he just doesn’t like to sleep alone. i also really like the hc that he’s very good at embroidery.
🌙 absolutely burritoes himself in blankets. he’s never really been able to shake nightmares of cold and emptiness that set in after his core was crushed. the burritoing helps.
◻️ he is crazy good with babies, and as a result about three years post wei wuxian’s death he moves the lotus pier nursery next to the sect leader’s quarters. it’s definitely just so he can keep an eye on the next generation and not because sleepy babies crying is infinitely better than the cries he usually hears when he sleeps.
♦️ he whittles! jiang cheng and qin su have offices and bedrooms which are filled with various early attempts of misshapen dogs, birds and fish, but over the years he has gotten very very good.
🌙 he refuses to sleep with a pillow. it’s terrible and uncomfortable.
◻️ he has slept in his mum and dad’s old room since he was six years old and refuses to move after he becomes sect leader.
