Travis sat on the counter of Olivia’s kitchen. Since he clearly wasn’t a top baker she had decided to teach him how to cook up some Christmas cookies as a first step in learning how to cook. “So like, how many cups of sugar did you say I needed?” he asked once again. Olivia let out a sigh, “Two Travis.” Travis gave her a smug smile. “I’m sorry but you just look so cute in your little apron it’s throwing me off.” She rolled her eyes, laughing as she threw the measuring cup at him. “Just put in the sugar.”

The two were sitting next to the Christmas tree, wrapping presents for some of their closest friends. Travis couldn’t really wrap well so instead of putting everything in gift bags, he was the official ”bow putter on-er” as he called it. Olivia would wrap the presents, hand them to Travis and he would pick out a big colorful bow to stick on top of it. They looked very nice although the first couple bows had a problem staying on because he forgot to tape them down.

Unlike the other Christmas-y things the couple had done together, Travis was very good at making gingerbread houses. His mom had made him and his sister make them every Christmas eve back at home so he had become some what of a pro. As he went to make the first icing stroke on the house he could see Olivia watching nervously from the side. “Don’t make that face at me, I might not be good for much else but I do a damn good icing window.” he said squirting icing at her. Which lead to an all out icing fight instead of a well decorated gingerbread house.
