The boy... And Steve! =D
Okay, finished season 2 of trollhunters! Here's my observations/questions before the final season :D
1) Nice finale, left some stuff up in the air so I'm looking forward to the 3rd season (and finally watching the movie, as bad as it sounds)
2) Who keeps giving Blinky grenades?
3) I always knew Claire was gonna have something happen to her seeing as her white streaked yellow eyed image is the backdrop for trollhunters on Netflix, so It was a bit of an involuntary spoiler there :/
4) I'm a bit disappointed? Don't get me wrong, it was a good season (with my new favorite episode in it!), but it felt?? A little hollow in areas?
It makes some weird choices when there is a clear time crunch, I guess. It's a little strange.
5) 'I'm not a troll' , the sequel to 'I'm not a man'
6) I got a little lost with the 'what scares you most' thing. It felt rushed, and I'll be honest I don't even know who he fought. It was over in 2 seconds and then he just crawled out? (Also why did his friends immediately give up on him? Didn't even let time pass before they announced him dead)
7) Strickler!!!!! Hiiii :] he's here AND he was in the last few moments of the season so I'm hoping he has a big role for season 3 :D
8) I still could care less for the romance part of this story, but Claire is growing on me! I like the way her story is going, and I'm assuming she'll be a much bigger role in season 3 with the whole 'pale lady' thing.
9) (The pale lady bit caused a neuron in my brain to active that screamed 'hollow knight! The pale beings! The pale queen! The pale lady!', which I don't think will help me at all for season 3, but I thought I'd mention it anyways)
10) The flip-flop episodes with Jim's pov in one and Steve's pov in the other was nice, but I feel they rushed the dynamic a bit? Like, he only had 3 or so episodes to become likeable, then they pushed him and Pepperjack into the troll world? (I know it's a short season, but still. I feel like maybe a few scenes should've been given beforehand to make people WANT him in season 3.)
....
(I do want him there, that's my second son, but still. That's not the point.)
11) why kill vendel?
I know in my bones he won't come back (it seems more permanent than argh), but why did he need to die at all? Was it for shock value? To raise the stakes? Was it just to get rid of the main leader? (If so, immediately replacing him with Blinky kinda ruined it a bit)
12) Speaking of Blinky, why him? We know he's a good teacher and person as a whole, but he's also the one that fights the least of the main heroes. Trolls seemed to value strength above all else, and Blinky isn't exactly the pinnacle of strength?
(This is nothing against Blinky, he's my favorite character behind strickler, but it just didn't make sense to me? This is either setting up to make Blinky take on a more serious role, or they're setting him up to die. I don't want to think they'd kill him off, but like??? Killing the mentor of the hero is kind of a major stereotype in these kinds of stories??)
13) Moving on, the group episode (The Reckless Club) was really weird. The main cast + a character who I've never seen before, the 2 new creepslayerz, Claire's friend we haven't seen in a bit, and the Spanish teacher was an odd combo. Was it just to give one final nice episode before a new season of bitterness? If so, I wonder if the characters matter..
Like, the main cast? Obviously. Creepslayerz? Yeah they'll probably show up most of season 3. The other 3? Ehhhhhhhh...
Were the two other girls (can't for the life of me remember their names) picked for a reason? Like, will they be let in on the secret at some point? (Why even add them at all otherwise?? Just to fill space? So it wasn't just the main cast and creepslayerz?)
14) WHY DOESN'T THE MOM KNOW YET??? I can excuse the bit where Jim was lost in the dark, but after that?? There is no reason to not tell her?? Especially if the new seasons about to drag a lot more people into this.
15) Speaking of Jim's mom... are her and strickler gonna, you know, get back together? (Did she even know they stopped?)
16) it's not that i WANT them together,, it's just that like,,,,,,,, okay I do want them together. I miss the dynamic he and Jim had during that time. I don't miss the manipulative nature of the relationship between him and Barbara in the slightest, but??? Maybe if strickler get's his act together?? Stops being an ass??
I just think it could be sweet is all.
17) This is my last thing, are the stones gonna come back? Jim kinda stopped training with them immediately, but it would be so sick if he could switch out different powers for fights. He has 2 open slots, right?
Okay. That's about it.
I'm really looking forward to season 3! The shows really grown on me! I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would :D
(If jim tries any more suicidal bullshit, I'm disappearing into the alps)

We have..so many outfits here.
Here, we have his first outfit with cast, his new outfit with and without cast and varsity jacket, his gym clothes and his Creepslayerz outfit!
I hope you guys like him, and how his character changes in the reboot!
Look out for our favorite single momma, Barbara!
Also, check out my Ko-fi!
Support Vexie On Ko-fi. Ko-fi lets you support the people and causes you love with small donations
Here we have Andreas and Steve! who I have dubbed the Daddy Issues Duo
We see that Steve doesn't have a lot of changes to his outfit aside from adding a varsity jacket and also his cast that was mentioned in his bonding chapter with Lillie! If you look really closely at his hair, you can see he has brown roots! Why? You'll see!
Andreas, my little tortured angel, we see that he can look rather imposing! He regularly mends his clothes and adds patches when he has tears in his clothes, we see he has his horngazel as a keychain on his bag as stated in the story! At school, he does wear a beanie to hide his horns and pointed ears and a face mask to hide his tusks which have been growing more noticeable each day.
they need a support group for nonconsensual mpreg
Preliminary Poll
Steve Palchuk
Submission reason:
Steve was created as a narrative foil to Trollhunters main character Jim Lake and was a GENUINELY good character for the majority of the franchise, where he grew from a one dimensional bully archetype to a fleshed out ally to the main characters!! It all starts to go downhill in the sequel series Wizards where Steve's personality seems slightly regressed, the writers use him as the butt of a lot of jokes ect. but it's tolerable because the cast is slightly different to previous seasons and someone needs to fill the comedic relief role. At his core Steve was still the same character! I think it would be morally correct of me to give content warnings now: mpreg, general mentions of pregnancy and childbirth. Then the franchise swapped out nearly all of their original writers for the finale movie Rise of the Titans and every character got absolutely fucked over by it. Steve ended up entirely gutted of character motivation that had been built up in previous seasons (he wanted to become a knight and help in the fight to stop the Arcane Order) and became the victim of an mpreg "comedy" side plot. The writers made it so this teenage boy was pregnant with alien babies neither he or his partner consented to. He gives birth slightly off screen and it's a JOKE? Lots of throwaway gags about weird food cravings and stretch marks over the course of this few day long alien pregnancy. I genuinely cannot fathom what went on in the writers room for them to think this would he a funny B-plot to contrast against major character deaths and a race against the bad guys who want to explode the world. Feels disrespectful to any person who goes through the stress of carrying a child, and is just fucking weird to end Steve's character arc with. He doesn't even get to raise his kids after all this because the timeline gets reset - probably because the writers didn't want to deal with the REALITY of after someone has given birth. Worst possible character massacre I've ever witnessed.
ok so in Trollhunters, the first installment of Tales of Arcadia, he has a great character arc of going from an absolute asshat to someone who deeply and genuinely cares about his friends and who actively tries to unlearn his ideals of toxic masculinity. In the two following series, he devolves more and more into a joke character to be made fun of, and it all culminates in the final movie, Rise of the Titans, where he gets pregnant (not a joke. not an exaggeration. he is completely cis btw) and his entire character does nothing except play the butt of the joke over and over and over again. pretty much every character was fucked over in that movie, but like. him especially.
Propaganda:
I think I expressed most of my thoughts in the how he got massacred section. He did not deserve that.

Look how they massacred Steve!
He was fucked over!
Him being used like that was fine imo
I don't know him

WHAT IS THIS MOVIE FOR?! YOU HAVE ROBBED US OF EVERYTHING WE HOLD DEAR!!!! There are many reasons why I don't like "Rise of the Titans", and this is one of them
