It’s so good, y’all.
LIKE SO, SO GOOD.
Colin is AMAZING as Gordo. I always knew he would be, but he absolutely exceeded my expectations. He makes Gordo so personable and you just can identify with him so much, and Colin really nails the humanity to the guy. His struggles with Trudy... I really do feel for him, but also it’s clear that this is his fault they are falling apart and he deserves this treatment from her and my heart aches for them both. And it’s not just his family... just Gordo in general, trying to figure out life and how to navigate it... UGH, i’m in love with this guy. Colin is just... so fucking good. Always.
And it’s not just Colin! Every one in the cast is brilliant. Jake as Alan and Patrick Fischler as Bob Gilruth... I’m enjoying the hell out of them as well. Patrick Adams really nails John, where you like him, but you also kinda want to punch him for his holier than thou attitude. They’re all so so so so good!
AND IT’S FUNNY. AND EMOTIONAL. AND THE MUSIC. MY GOD, THE MUSIC.
This show is a gem. It truly is. I’m so looking forward to what’s to come and to having something every week to really look forward to for the next month and a half.
