Rose from True Emotions is asexual!
My bf today I asked me “do I feel hopelessness?” This is what I replied back with;
I feel lonely, lost, my memories are coming back so I’m confused.
I’ve come to realise that a lot of the family friends never really cared about me. That hurts.
My family never loved me, I think they bought me or stole me from another family so he could rape me.
I feel like I should never been born because of that. People used me, ridicule me and I felt I wasn’t human. I was just this thing to people.
That’s how I feel like.
True Emotions
Request: can i request an imagine where y/n meets Robbie on set and it's really easy for her to play her part because her emotions for robbies character are real (anger, love, sadness, whatever emotion you want) but in the end there's lots of fluff and cuteness. i love your writing btw
Warnings: none
Butterflies swarmed in your stomach as you read over your lines quickly. You had them all memorized, and didn’t need to look at them anymore, but today was the first day you got to act them out with your co-star.
You and Robbie Kay, the next big stars rising to fame. You were both shooting a movie where you played a set of love interests. You knew Robbie beforehand, having become friends on Heroes Reborn. You had actual feelings for him, so displaying the emotions into your character would be easy. Though you were nervous to perform in front of him still.
Robbie got in his costume as well as you. The set was ready for specific scenes, and finally filming would begin. You were beyond nervous.
“Don’t look at me like that,” you giggled, blushing at Robbie.
“I can’t help it. You’re just so cute,” he replied.
You sipped your drink, still grinning like a fool. “You’re cute.”
“You’re adorable.”
“You’re pretty.”
“You’re beautiful.”
“You’re handsome.”
You and Robbie went back and forth, in character. Each time, you both would smile even wider and blush even more. It was a totally cute and sappy scene between your characters.
“See, why can’t we be cute like them?” Another main character in the movie whispered her line as she walked in the fake coffee shop with her love interest.
The scene went on, and soon began to go elsewhere. There were few breaks and cuts, and it was full of fun. Your lines were so easy because you meant them. They were perfect for how you felt.
You reached the first scene that dealt with you and Robbie kissing. It was early in the film, and you were nervous but excited. When the kissing part finally came, you tried not to mess up. You gave it your best, as this movie might be the only time you kiss him. The kiss was perfect, and when Robbie slid his hand under your hair, you lost it on the inside. His simple touch did it for you. You were swooning even more.
Finally, there was a big break. It was time for lunch and to get out of costume. Then another few hours to film some scenes over. You and Robbie met up after changing, heading to the nearby Red Robin.
“Not so bad, eh?” Robbie asked, walking next to you.
“Not as much as I thought. The movie is so sappy. A lot of hopeless romantics will love it.”
"You’re doing really good, very believable.”
You both walked inside the restaurant. “Thanks... Same goes to you. I’d believe it.”
A waitress sat you down at a booth, both you looking at the menu. It went silent for a moment between the two of you.
“Hmm, what do you want to get? I don’t eat here much,” Robbie sighed, making a cute face.
“Oh, I always get either the garden burger or the bacon cheeseburger.”
Robbie started laughing, trying to hide it. You gave him a look, setting your menu down all the way.
“What?”
“You’re so cute. You’re always in the mood for a bacon cheeseburger, huh? Every time we eat out, if there’s a bacon burger, you get it.”
You tried so hard not to blush. You bit the inside of your bottom lip. “I like my bacon on my burgers. What can I say? I’m an American for a reason,” you teased.
“And I love my tea every afternoon,” Robbie said in a super posh accent. You both began cackling.
You enjoyed Robbie and his company. He was such a sweet boy, and you cherished his friendship. You only wished it was more than friends.
After lunch, you and Robbie walked around. Robbie was fairly close to you, which was giving you butterflies. You would bump into one another and nudge each other. All the while talking. It was nice, and the day was perfect. Perfect weather and everything.
“I like spending time with you,” Robbie finally said.
You bit your lip again, looking away from him. “I like spending time with you, too.”
“Want to hangout after today? We can go somewhere or go to your place. Watch TV or something.”
You were screaming internally. Robbie wanted to spend even more time with you and even go back to your place? This was so exciting for you. You wanted to jump up and down.
“S-Sure, that sounds great. I’d like that. We can have a celebratory drink, too. For the first day of filming complete.”
“Sounds like a date.”
Robbie grinned, looking at you for a moment. He slowly grabbed your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. A tiny squeal left your mouth, but Robbie didn’t hear it. You leaned into his side, giving his hand a light squeeze.
“This is going to be a fun movie to work on,” you commented.
“I agree.”
Here within the confines of this space I can be open about you, and the way that I'm feeling. I don't have to hide or make up lies, or leave out any parts. Because here they don't know, they don't know your name, you've never come here, don't know I even exist in this space because this is my safe place. The one place that I can be real and walk through it all, feeling each step completely, and take as long as I need to process. This is no rush, no rolling of eyes or "simple directions" just me and my thoughts and emotions. Here I am never too much and I'm always just enough. Here you can't find me and I'm safe to real.
Fear of showing emotions
A lot of people are afraid of showing their true emotions and are usually present in two states: calm and happy. I guess that’s logical, you know, because else you’ll be a pain in the ass for the people around you and some people will just get tired of your whining, but that’s some weird phobia or something idk. But some people take that to the next level by straight up lying to themselves, telling that they’re absolutely fine and happy, even though their life is falling apart. I’m not including the people who are actually capable of handling their life situation and who have an immunity for stress and so on, I’m talking about people who are willing to not take action until there’s nothing left of them, because they’re afraid to act a little sad in front of other people and because people might not like hearing about how miserable their life is and because it’s a real mood-killer. Now don’t trust yourself, because this is a deathtrap: the longer you fake happiness, the more problems you’re gonna build up and the bigger will be the impact when you realize that your life has gone to shit.
Don’t be afraid to show a little sad or to talk about your problems, you’re only going to make things harder for yourself. Be an optimist, but remember that being an optimist is not about acting happy all the time, it’s about having hope for the better outcome. Most importantly, take action, even doing a small task like fixing a hole in the wall can give you strength to take on bigger tasks in life.
Now I’m not bullying those people who are afraid of showing their true feelings. I have that fear myself, in fact my whole family has that. I’m saying that it’s something that needs to be avoided. You know, it’s refreshing to have a serious talk once in a while, because you do get tired of countless jokes and laughing. You know, just get real.
