Malaysian lichen huntsman. This thing is as big as my hand and I'm absolutely terrified of it 😂😂😂 #spidersofinstagram #truespider #lightninginabottle #arachnophobia #arachnid #fasterthanthespeedoflight https://www.instagram.com/p/BsubBCXgXTM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ktzk9mjxwpzs
Found this little lady walking down the sidewalk today with her egg sac. Wonder where she was going... #spider #arachnid #truespider #wolfspider
There are some Jumping Spiders found in the UK but they tend to be fairly rare. Here, in Zimbabwe, they're practically everywhere. They're very characterful little spiders with cute movements and puppy-dog eyes, and will casually observe anyone who comes close. They're all totally harmless and most, like this one, are very small. If, when watching you, they decide you're a little bit too threatening, they'll either leap away to a safe spot or, in a pinch, dive from whatever they're perched on using a safety line of silk. #zimbabwe #spider #salticidae #jumpingspider #AfricanBugs #truespider #aranaea (at Gorges Lodge)
An East Parson Spider ( Herpyllus ecclesiasticus ) that I came across while helping the boyfriend clean. I had 3 of these guys (1 gravid, 1 sling) but released the other 2 since I have no desire to have hundreds of H. ecclesiastics running around and the little guy was Hell to keep track of.
Love their markings! This guys is an avid eater and has since webbed up the sphagnum moss since this picture was taken. He loves hiding in the cracks and crevices in the soil.
