The door to the master’s room opened silently, showing a horned shadow.  Sharp eyes scanned the room --- then it leapt from shadow to shadow, making its way towards the bed.  The shadow towered over the bed, looming down on its sleeping occupant.  

Then a wheezing HONK sounded through the air.

Abigail Hardscrabble shed the darkness from her, revealing herself holding a clown horn.  She squeezed it over and over, impatiently waiting.

A Dove, with pristine white feathers stood in the doorway, with what looked to be a smile on his beak. Though his body looked youthful, his silvery eyes showed his age. He gave a simple bow towards Shifu. “I guess he told you about me, yes? I hope he’s been treating you and your Palace well, Master Shifu.”
