*The Space Pirates on Drelion's base of operations cheered at Mother's announcement to the planet. Few of them were aware it was prerecorded. Fewer of them cared. Damaris reviewed battle logs.*
Damaris: Seems like we lost Xel. Five casualties and two MIA.
Demeter: Xel's that clone one, right? We'll get another squadron leader here soon enough.
*Demeter offered a glass to her companion, but Damaris was too focused on the logs to notice.*
Damaris: Martin and Tsey are the ones missing.
Demeter: Damn, we better contact Lucifuge.
*Before Demeter could grab her communicator, the Lucifuge had already made contact with her.*
Captain Binah: We're aware. Operation proceeds as normal, we still have the Martin droid. What's concerning is that there's no body. The tracking chip indicates he's not even on this planet. We're still searching but I can't pick up his signal anywhere here.
Demeter: And Tsey? Tell us he's all right!
Captain Binah: Actually, he's above my authority. His communicator and tracker seem to have been turned off manually and he's answering directly to High Command. He's not here for our operation.
Demeter: What about the jammer? How did you reach us?
Captain Binah: It's off now, time for intercepting comms. I can hear them now, the Feds are all chattering about Mother's little announcement. They're scared out of their minds, they didn't count on Martin being alive.
