“kei, do you ever think about how strange it is that we've never fought?” you ask, limbs tangled with his as you cuddle on his bed.
it’s 10:03 PM and you’re doing your best to fight against the chilling, icy atmosphere of tsukishima’s room. for some reason, he likes to sleep like a vampire.
“do you want to?” he offers with an arm wrapped around your shoulders. tsukki doesn’t even open his eyes when he responds, too sleepy to entertain another one of your late night overthinking sessions.
“no,” you say calmly, “but we’ve been together for 7 months. we must either be like, the greatest couple of all time or the exact opposite.”
you feel his chest rise and deflate against your head as he lets an overly dramatic sigh.
you knew tsukishima kei wasn’t one for pda. hell, it was one of the things you loved about him. he knew how to make you feel loved without having to scream it to the world.
like that one time on one of your first dates, when you had accidentally fallen asleep on the soft grass of the park while waiting for his weekend practice to end. you woke up with a hand massaging your scalp.
“how long have you been waiting there?” you giggle, rising from your slumber as you rub your eyes awake. he pulls away, casually avoiding your gaze. “why didn’t you wake me?”
kei only shrugs, “you looked peaceful.”
or that other time you got sick for a week and couldn’t make it to school, so he immediately visited you as soon as you got better and brought his backpack with him.
“i got two copies of all the homeworks due next week, so you don’t have to ask the teachers for them.” he unpacks his notes and fishes out two pens from his bag before turning to you. “come, i’ll teach you everything you missed.”
your teachers praised you for how responsible you were, and told you how much they appreciated that you took the initiative to study.
yeah, you totally did that.
or like right now, and all the other nights you’ve spent at his place. because unbeknownst to you, tsukishima kei sets up his bedroom every single time you visit. he tidies up, cleaning even spots that you would never think to look at. but most importantly, and tsukishima knows this routine by heart, he turns the a/c to the highest setting so you’d be forced to cuddle against him underneath his sheets.
“the former,” is all replies with, and you scoff, rolling your eyes.
“but seriously though. how lucky are we to never have fought even after seven months.”
tsukki sighs again, before reluctantly revealing, “we don’t fight because i make it a point to always agree with you.”
you’re taken aback by his words, sitting up slightly as you look him in the eyes, though his are still closed as he tries to focus on sleeping.
“...huh?”
“idiot,” he teases. maybe he thinks calling you names will cover up for how unbelievably sweet he’s being right now, “why would i want to argue with you?” he shifts, trying to subtly move his face away so you don’t see him fully.
“but i can’t always have my way, you know. a relationship should be 50/50, right?”
“not ours.” he presses your head back against his chest, and you hear his heartbeat fasten a little. “you’re the boss.”
BONUS: “and you’ve never paid in your life anyway. you don’t believe in that 50/50 bullshit.” “hey!” “i don’t even know what your wallet looks like.”
⭑.ᐟ 0.2k words, cliché, f!reader, fluff w Tsukishima, part 2?
“Can I have your shirt?”
You pleaded, tugging on his arm as you made the walk home from school.
“No.”
“Please, everyone else’s girlfriend wears their jerseys!”
You looked up at him with doe eyes, a measure that usually made Tsukishima give in. He turned away, in hopes you couldn’t see the pink tint on his face. To his dismay you had caught a glimpse.
He cleared his throat and pushed his glasses further up his nose, facing you again.
“Still no.”
You grumbled softly under your breath as you continued walking home, this time in silence.
“Wait here.”
He mumbled out as you approached his house. You stood there for a few minutes before he finally returned, one arm hidden behind him. He sheepishly pulled the item out from behind and thrust it into your arms. The item was neatly folded, the number 11 slightly faded. It was hard to contain the excitement that was beginning to bubble.
“Thank you, Tsukki!”
You reached up and placed a kiss upon his cheek. His face blooming a darker shade than before.
“It was nothing.”
Tsukishima’s attempt to keep up the facade of stoicism he always displayed but unfortunately for him, his biggest weakness was you.
an: I’m thinking of maybe doing a part 2 to this. feedback would be appreciated! 💗
synopsis: you thought your silly hobby can be hidden from your boyfriend, tsukishima.
pairing: tsukishima kei x reader
content: gender neutral reader, fluff fluff fluff, domestic, short drabble, just a little tsukki headcanon because i love him, self-indulgence.
Everyone can agree that Tsukishima Kei isn’t the flowery, poetic words kind of guy.
Even the man himself accord to that perception.
He is, though, a man of gestures. Not the grand kind — but the kind that makes you feel stable and at ease.
Achingly so, he’s consistent with it as well that by all means, you feel guilty for hiding a particular interest.
You were afraid of what he’ll say if he finds out you have a childish hobby for collecting blind boxes, toys, or whatever you may call it.
Thus, you tried your best to hide your whole box of trinkets from him as you two unpack in your new shared home.
You were so careful, lest your trinkets make a noise. So quiet, that only the slow droplets from the faucet — that needs to be replaced — echoes through the walls.
But he’d notice.
He would always notice before you can even utter a word about it.
Hence a few days after, as not to arouse suspicion, he made an excuse saying, “I’m heading out to buy a new faucet for our bathroom.”
When he came back, he wasn’t holding a metallic water tap.
Instead, he was holding a small box — a blind box — and you take a peak as you hide behind the door, eager to pounce at him and open the blind box yourself.
“Oh,” Tsukishima says casually, “It’s the rare one.”
You inhale sharply and with a thud, your boyfriend looks up at you.
“Can I…” You hesitate for a moment, “Take a look..?”
He walks towards you without saying anything, and he hands you the trinket.
You didn’t even notice the way both edges of your lips turned upwards, and the way your eyes sparkled as you admire the trinket on your hand.
But Tsukishima noticed.
As you were about to give it back, he shrugged. When you looked at him with confusion, he just said, “What? It’s yours.”
And moments later as you got out of the bathroom after your shower, you noticed your collection of trinkets were already organized on the shelf. They were placed carefully as though they were something sacred — something special.
More so, the trinket that Tsukishima got you? It’s placed beside his dinosaur figurine.
He didn’t tease you. He didn’t question it.
You smile — because you realized you didn’t have to hide or explain yourself to him; and because you knew that being who you are is something Tsukishima had already chosen.
He soon became your assistant who follows you around the shop whilst carrying your shopping basket full of blind boxes — and he’d secretly look for one as well to match trinkets with you while he’s at it.
note: back to writing fluff & i need a six-foot tall volleyball player with glasses named tsukishima kei to support me in my hobby of collecting useless, expensive trinkets <3.
college tsukki reluctantly asking akiteru for advice because he's so in love with his best friend that it's actively killing him —but he doesn't know how to tell you because he hates being vulnerable/can't stand the thought of not having you in his life if he fucks it up—and aki's just like ...
you have to.
you have to be vulnerable and express your feelings or you'll lose them.
and so tsukki awkwardly confesses the next day, acting so uncharacteristically tentative, even shy, as he asks if you'd like to get coffee. in his head, you've said no fourteen different ways, so he's speechless when you take his hand and cozy up to his side with the biggest grin on your face.
"where are we goin', handsome?"
"you wanna go right now?"
you roll your eyes. "duh. or do you wanna waste more time?"
during his wedding toast, aki swears that the only reason you two are getting married is because of his sage brotherly advice.
Tsukkishima exhales through his nose like he’s actively fighting the urge to roll his eyes this whole time. his shirt is already sticking to his back, and you’re lying very dramatically in a starfish position on the floor, cheek smushed against the coldest tile you could find in his the room. “Turn on the fan” you mumble, even talking was starting to take up too much of your energy.
“It’s on.”
“Turn it on more.”
“That’s not how fans work.”
You groan for the 30th time in the last 20 minutes, although it seemed forcing all of the warm air out of your lungs was helping. “Why on earth is this country not equipped for this? I’m literally about to turn into a pile of ash” you whine before your boyfriend tosses yet another bottle of lukewarm water in your direction, the heated plastic hits your thigh with a dull thud. “It’s not even fucking cold.” you whine. he shrugs from across the room, where he sat clearly unbothered by the sun and the heat it radiated into his room. eventually he starts bringing you things to try and help stop you talking his ear off : frozen grapes that hurt your teeth when you bit into it, a wet towel that lasted about 10 seconds before the heat from your temple gradually transferred to it, and his own dignity as he bends the rules of physics trying to get the fan to hit your direction better. Nothing works. still you complain.
it was getting late, sun was setting but its burning sensation still lingered behind, as if it passed on instructions to the moon. you slip under the sheet like you’re crawling into a sauna and the second he slides in behind you and rests a hand on your waist, you flinch. “No” you say, flat. “Too hot.” He freezes. “Are you serious?”
“I’m genuinely about to combust.” he scoffs and and rolls away, muttering something under his breath as he sits up sulking. you’re sulking. now you’re both lying with your backs to each other separated by heat and a pitiful few inches. eventually you hear him get up. the floor creaks, a cupboard opens, and something very obviously heavy is dragged down the hallway.
then, whirrrrrr.
a fan. a proper fan. why the hell did he not bring this out earlier? the air was instantly cooler. you blink up from your pillow in stunned reverence, turning around just in time to see him standing at the foot of the bed, his expression unreadable. “now stop complaining.”
“you had that the whole time…?” You deadpanned. He shrugs far too casual for someone who just saved your life. “It was never that serious.” you sit up already glaring at him. “Are you actually dumb? I’ve been on the verge of dying this whole time??”
“Uh huh and you still found the energy to complain about it the entire time” he mutters, dragging the fan closer. “It’s actually too hot to be arguing with you right now.” he flops back into bed beside you, eyes closed. “Yeah, yeah. You can thank me later.” he rolls his eyes and moves in beside you. but this time when he wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you in you don’t complain but instead melt into him like he’s not part of the reason you were overheating earlier. the fan hums on, letting the two of you fall asleep tangled up and half sticky but still content — because even though he’s not big on PDA, Tsukki’s always been soft for you when no one’s watching.
even if it’s 30° and you haven’t shut up all day.
a/n : guys i promise im actually burning right now help me. pls

Good morning <333 Hope your having a good day!! I was wondering if you could write something about Tsukishima. See, I'm a very shy person but so many fics mischaracterise shy people. Like, no, we don't stutter 90 times in a single sentence. Yes, we do tend to get flustered but we don't stutter so much plz stfu 😭🙏. But I was just wondering if you could write something with a shy reader and Tsukishima. Thank you so much and sorry for the bother!! Good luck for your exams <33
OMG I GET U! shy people that i’ve talked to barely even stutter, they just mumble most of the time, like me ദ്ദി๑>•̀๑) enjoy sweetheart!
forced tutor
— don’t sigh in math class, a wild kei might hear you.
tsukishima kei x shy!f!reader
i feel like i’ve written so much for him these days. and for the other requests, i’m working on them too <3 whenevr i can, at least.

your mistake was sighing too loudly in class.
it was one tiny sigh, barely audible — at least you thought so — as you stared at the mess of numbers scribbled across your math worksheet. it wasn’t even the test, just practice problems. but still, the numbers danced around like they were mocking you, and all you could do was shrink in your seat and wish the bell would ring.
but tsukishima kei heard it.
of course he did.
“pathetic,” he muttered from the seat behind you, the tip of his pen tapping once against your chair.
you froze. “..what?”
he leaned forward, blond hair catching the afternoon sunlight, his glasses sliding slightly down his nose. he looked at you like you’d just confessed you couldn’t read. “that’s the fifth time this week you’ve made that noise. are you seriously struggling with that?” he flicked the corner of your paper with his pen, the smallest smirk tugging at his lips.
“it’s just… a little confusing,” you mumbled, gripping your pencil tighter.
“a little confusing,” he repeated, as if you’d told him you were confused by the alphabet. “unbelievable.”
you turned in your seat, cheeks warming. “why do you even care? just ignore me.”
but tsukishima kei never ignored you.
not when you wanted him to.
especially not then.
“because,” he said casually, leaning back in his chair with that infuriatingly smug expression, “i can’t focus when you sound like a dying animal every five minutes. it’s distracting.”
you opened your mouth, then closed it.
“..sorry,” you muttered, wishing the ground would swallow you.
he tapped his pen against the desk again. “don’t apologize. fix it.”
“fix—?”
“starting today, you’re staying after school. i’ll fix it for you.”
your brain short-circuited. “…what?”
he smirked, sharp and victorious, like he’d already won a game you hadn’t realized you were playing. “i’m tutoring you.” idk if i should; say that’s attractive or throw tomatoes at him.
♡‧₊˚✧ ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა ✧˚₊‧♡
the next day, you found yourself cornered in the library.
tsukishima had chosen the farthest table in the back, away from the few other students milling around. his notebook and textbook were already spread out like he was preparing for battle. you hesitated by the edge of the table, hugging your bag close.
“…do i have to?” you asked timidly.
he raised a brow without looking up from his book. “yes.”
“but—”
“sit.”
it wasn’t a suggestion. and before you knew it, you were seated across from him, your notebook open, heart hammering like you’d been forced into a duel.
“alright, mouse,” he said casually, the new nickname rolling off his tongue with deliberate cruelty. “show me how bad it is.”
you blinked. “mouse?”
“small, squeaky, easily startled.” his lips quirked. “fits, don’t you think?”
you wanted to sink into the floor. “uh ..no.”
“too bad. it’s sticking.”
and then he leaned forward, eyes sharp behind his glasses, and gestured at your paper. “go on. solve number four.”
your hands trembled as you tried to focus, the weight of his gaze making your brain turn to mush. you scratched out numbers and formulas, your handwriting messier than usual. halfway through, you realized you’d messed up, tried to erase, but his voice cut in.
“stop.”
you froze, eraser hovering midair. “what—”
he reached across the table, his long fingers plucking the eraser from your hand. your breath caught. “you’re panicking. you’re not even thinking. that’s why you suck at this.”
“i don’t suck—”
“oh, you do.” he smirked, scribbling neatly on the page. “but lucky for you, i’m patient.”
“patient?” you echoed, half-scandalized.
“yeah. i wouldn’t waste my time on just anyone, you know.”
your heart skipped. “wha- why me, then?”
his pen paused mid-equation. for a moment, his eyes flicked up to yours — and there it was, that strange glint, like he knew something you didn’t. like he’d chosen you, and you had no say in it.
he smirked again, covering it with sarcasm. “because you’re hopeless. and watching you squirm is entertaining.”
you buried your face in your notebook. “you’re horrible.”
“hm. maybe.” his voice dropped just slightly, a touch softer. “but at least i’m horrible and helpful.”
♡‧₊˚✧ ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა ✧˚₊‧♡
a week later, tutoring had become a routine.
you didn’t know how it happened — you certainly never agreed — but every afternoon, tsukishima would appear at your desk, snap his fingers, and motion for you to follow. like some kind of ridiculously tall pied piper with glasses.
and every time, you followed.
the sessions were… chaotic, to say the least.
“how are you this bad?” he muttered one afternoon, watching you completely blank out on a problem.
“stop staring at me!” you whined, cheeks burning.
“what, am i supposed to look at the ceiling?” he smirked. “your face when you panic is half the fun.”
“i hate you.”
“sure you do, mouse.”
you tried to stay mad, but then he’d sigh dramatically, lean across the table, and explain the problem in that calm, steady voice of his. and despite his teasing, he never raised his voice, never lost his cool. his sarcasm was sharp, but his explanations were gentle, almost… careful.
and when you finally solved something right, he’d give the tiniest, rarest smile.
“there. not completely useless after all.”
it shouldn’t have made your stomach flip. but it did.
♡‧₊˚✧ ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა ✧˚₊‧♡
you noticed it when he started walking you home after tutoring, always with some excuse.
“what if you get lost?”
“it’s literally a straight line,” you whispered.
“you’d probably wander into traffic.”
you noticed it when you caught him glaring at another boy who tried to ask you about the homework. tsukishima had appeared out of nowhere, sliding between you and the boy with a dry, “she doesn’t have time for you.”
you noticed it when you realized he never let you skip tutoring. not once. even if you were tired, even if you had plans, he’d just tilt his head, smirk, and say, “cancel them.”
you were too shy to protest, too flustered to fight him on it. and maybe — just maybe — you didn’t really want to.
♡‧₊˚✧ ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა ✧˚₊‧♡
one friday afternoon, you yawned during tutoring.
tsukishima looked up immediately. “tired?”
“a little,” you admitted, rubbing your eyes. “maybe we could—”
“nope,” he cut you off, shoving your pencil back into your hand. “we’re finishing this.”
you pouted. “you’re mean.”
he smirked. “you’d slack off without me. i’m doing you a favor.”
“i didn’t ask for your favor,” you muttered.
he leaned closer, voice dropping, eyes locked on yours. “you don’t have to ask.”
your breath hitched. his gaze lingered a moment too long, heavy and unblinking, before he leaned back like nothing happened.
“come on, mouse. number ten.”
♡‧₊˚✧ ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა ✧˚₊‧♡
later, when you finally got a perfect score on a worksheet, you looked up at him shyly.
“see? i did it.”
his lips twitched, almost a smile. he reached across the table, flicked your forehead lightly, and said, “good girl.”
you nearly combusted on the spot. i would too
and tsukishima kei — smug, sarcastic, sharp-tongued tsukishima kei — watched you hide your face in your hands, his smirk softening into something quieter.
something only for you.
because you were his project.
his distraction.
his mouse.
and he wasn’t about to let anyone else steal you away.

I saw the new Jurassic World movie the other day and couldn't help but imagine going with Tsukishima Kei. he would try to hide how excited he was, but you could tell there was hope in how he reminded you they got a whole new cast and opened a new storyline.
having gone to most of the other newer movies in the series with him, you hoped he could finally be happy. perhaps it would even compare to the original trilogy.
it didn't. it wasn't that good.
but you were surprised that Tsukki was more frustrated with your reactions to the character portrayed by actor Jonathan Bailey. he looked absolutely scrumptious in this movie, and you were practically salivating whenever he came on screen.
it was interesting to you that someone as smart as Tsukishima couldn't understand why you liked that character. the huge dinosaur nerd wearing glasses, who reminded you a lot of your dear husband.
