I had a sketch one in which Wolfgang hugs Eva just to annoy her but I thought this would be more in character for them tbh,,not saying that he wouldn't ragebait her for the hell of it
these are based off of nifast's imitation art pieces!! for ease i'll refer to them as "other eva" and "other wolfgang"

for other eva: i saw a tweet referring to her as "ideal eva" and <- p5r liker Was intrigued by this.... because i don't necessarily see her as eva's "ideal self." i see Other Eva as a manifestation/physical representation of everyone who is against eva: in her eyes, everyone. The world. everyone who is stopping her from becoming her best self, everyone who tries to box her in to being one thing, everyone who "doesn't care about her."
i think that's interesting granted how eva's design is: with the black straight hair of her past gradient-ing into the white curls/drills of Other Eva.... i think that represents how, because of just the stifling presence of "Everyone", she was forced to adapt to her circumstances, to fit inside that box of "ultimate mathlete," no matter how much she wants to outrun the title, to become something else.
same with how eva wears Other Eva's clothing... ^
also going off this nifast drawing of other eva impassively choking eva out with her hair, yanking the crow feather out of her hair: stifling her, silencing her, robbing her of her individuality; the oppressive influence of "society" as a whole. the talent association. her classmates. her family. everyone who didn't "love" her. (vyse valorant voice) ADAPT.. OR DIE!!!!!!!!!
tldr: other eva is a "collective" manifestation; doesn't necessarily represent who eva Aspires to be. Other Eva is the undying belief that everyone is out to get her no matter what. I think she unconsciously follows in Other Eva's footsteps (the way she's forced to align to her ultimate talent; shown in how Other Eva's design traits are reflected in Eva's design) but hates every second of it. She deeply internalizes Other Eva, and even if others DO trust/like/try to befriend her (damon, diana, etc) she simply cannot accept it due to Other Eva sort of "lurking" within her.
I think if she had it her way she would never be like Other Eva, however, she also feels like she has no choice. eternally punished...
in general i think a lot of eva's themes revolve around Choice and the lack thereof... free will/agency...
the "i could never become you" for eva is an assurance: I Will Never become you; who will destroy me and my individuality.

Of course, Heh, To Juxtapose Eva, i see Other Wolfgang as his ideal self. the man who can truly inherit the akire name. the man who can live up to his mother and father who came before: but also fixing their mistakes...
as an aside one of wolfgang's likes are gold so like. wats up about that boy
like lowkey i need to ponder this more BUT. also going off my last wolfgang comic thinking abt how he seems to fall into his father's footsteps no matter how much he tries to avoid it: how much he detests murder: is so delicious 2 me
in that same vein, how wolfgang is notably strikingly similar in appearance to his father - in spite of how much he (presumably) dislikes the guy - and how Other Wolfgang litr just looks like wolfgang ... much to think about!
in the nifast imitation art, other wolfgang is readying a knife to stab wolfgang's younger self: killing off his past to make room for the future perhaps? also do you ever think abt how wolfgang said he had a pleasant hand in life. like hey are u lying or not boy
(in my opinion he is LYING thru his TEETH bc To Be Understood Is To Be Dead. and wolfgang knows that very well.)
tldr: other wolfgang is definitely a more "individualistic" being; representing wolfgang's "ideal path" as opposed to other eva being "a collective" and representing eva's downfall/what she wants to avoid.
the "i could never become you" in wolfgang's case is one of despair and tragedy. he couldn't live up to his mother's dreams. his own dreams. he couldn't live up to be "other wolfgang." maybe he's also despairing at knowing keenly how he fell into that "wolfish mind" of his father... how he couldn't escape that, and become someone new - someone better.

in the same vein of wolfgang having a very detached relationship w/ the idea of murder, i wanted eva to have the same thang going on... she sees crafting the murder as a problemsolving exercise, just a very intense math problem... but ofc w the traitor perk it's do or die, so it's just a fact of life: she has to kill.
i think the idea of eva, in her loneliness and desperation, thinking about how wolfgang (seemingly cool/calm/collected, rallying the classmates so easily, probably super intimidating to eva at the time) might kill. because it seemed as clear as day that he would - that her head would be on the chopping block if she didn't kill him first. and ofc thinking of wolfgang would annoy her greatly... like no!! wtf!!
2nd page: wolfgang holding only a knife, playing with his food...? while eva is more proper with the fork and knife.
i imagine she'd feel pity for the drugged wolfgang, thinking oh, at least he'll go out peacefully. in addition w the electric shock mechanism basically causing instadeath. she's probably patting herself on the back a little like "yessss eva u are not torturing people today!!" Well little did she know he's having the most horrifying experience of his life. oops
3rd page last panel+4th page panel: wolfgang's last lucid thoughts before he succumbs to his drugged hallucinations... his head snaps over to the security camera pointed at him, as if he knows who's there. not canon obviously but i wanted him to make eye contact w his killer, just once. his last lucid thought being "gotcha. i'm taking you down with me. you're not getting out of here alive if i'm not either."
because (re: new staff comments abt wolfgang, despite being Fraudfakelawyer9000, was a well-meaning guy underneath it all) i'm toying w the idea of wolfgang GENUINELY seeing eva as a threat, and naively wanting to Protect his classmates from her (as opposed to the idea that he was just using her as a scapegoat in order to get away w his own murder scheme <- my running theory before this infonuke)
so even tho he knew he was going to die, he felt a sense of victory knowing that he'd take this Big Threat down w him. (<- Theoretically ofc. He doesn't know that it's eva behind the camera.)
and eva, suddenly feeling regret wash over her... like... oh god what am i doing really. i'm a murderer now? god damnit im a murderer.
because re: staff comments, eva seems to be one of the Normaler cast members... literally just being a depressed conflicted student while everyone was fraudmaxxing the house down (i also like to think that wolfgang is not That well-meaning, like in the end he's pretty selfish/self-serving and Probably ruined many people's lives throughout his Fake Lawyering)
