Today we woke up in Kayenta on the Navajo Indian Reservation and drove to #tubacity (also #navajo nation lands) to see the famous #dinosaurtracks We then entered the #geological masterpiece that is #grandcanyonnationalpark Nearly a mile deep, 10 miles wide and cutting down through 2 billion years of sedimentary layers it truly is one of the world's greatest #geosites - #simplyamazing At the #grandcanyon we walked the #trailoftime seeing all the rocks of the different layers laid out. We also hiked down the first part the #southkaibabtrail to experience being inside the #canyon (at Grand Canyon National Park)
