Potreban materijal:
300ml mleka 300ml vode 350g oštrog brašna T-400 1 kašičica praška za pecivo 4 jaja 1l vode 1kg šećera oko 300ml ulja za prženje 1 limun
Priprema:
U veću šerpu sipati 300ml vode i mleko, pa staviti na ringlu da provri. Brašno pomešati sa praškom za pecivo. U provrelu masu postepeno dodavati brašno, mešajući konstantno, tako da nema grudvica i skloniti sa vatre. Ostaviti da se malo prohladi, a zatim dodati jedno po jedno jaje, mešajući varjačom ili mikserom i sve lepo sjediniti da testo postane glatko. U manju, ali dublju šerpicu sipati i zagrejati ulje na vatri. Špric za tulumbe puniti pripremljenom masom, istiskati željene veličine u vrelo ulje i pržiti, uz povremeno okretanje, nekoliko minuta, dok ne dobiju lepu, žutu boju. Pržene tulumbe ređati u posudu (najbolje neki pleh za pečenje). Hladne tulumbe preliti toplim sirupom. Sirup: Vodu i šećer kuvati nekih desetak minuta, dok se ne dobije lep sirup. Dodati na kolutove isečen limun, skloniti sa vatre i preliti hladne tulumbe. Ostaviti da tulumbe upiju lepo sirup, pa poslužiti.

Božić
Danas sam otišao do mojih na Božićni ručak. Majka je spremila medaljone i pečurke a za dezert smo imali tulumbe i baklave. Mljac! Popio sam i čašu Kokakole mada je nisam tražio (majka uvek zna šta je najbolje). Ipak se i dalje držim svoje odluke da više ne kupujem gazirane sokove. Na kraju sam dobio i poklon kao položajnik :-)
