TVB Awards 2013: FASHION!

I have ranked all the artists in pairs, taking in consideration the fact that sometimes both are nice, both are not nice, or sometimes one is nice and one is not so nice :P

1. Benjamin Yuen and Mandy Wong

For me, the best two outfits of the night go to Mandy Wong and Benjamin Yuen. Both are simple, but so elegant. I LOVE Mandy's dress. With the jewelries, it is just perfect! She's so beautiful in it. And Benjamin, he's so handsome in his suit. He's not overdoing it, but he's still going original with a blue suit and a pale blue bow tie.

2.Kenneth Ma and Tavia Yeung

Kenneth and Tavia are pretty gorgeous too, and they just match to perfection! I actually prefer Kenneth's suit over Benjamin's one, but I love Mandy's dress way more than Tavia's one, so this is why I ranked them in second :)

→how can anyone not like him? he is too adorable for someone stepping into his forties! he is such a great sport, smiling throughout the whole awards ceremony. people were telling him to get rid of his signature derp face, but I say keep it. it's who he is, and it's something that makes him that much more likable.

Best Actress: Kristal Tin "I want to say sorry to my parents because I didn't know I can get tickets for them to come watch live. But it will be closer watching me on TV. I never thought I would this award; I thought I would at most get the Favorite Female Character one. I'm really nervous right now. Twenty years ago, I was at the "other" (ATV) TV station, at Sandy Yu's produced singing competition, I got first place and started working in the entertainment business. But I couldn't continue as a singer (what a disgrace), and then I became an actress. Twenty years later, I'm at her show getting Best Actress, so the first person I need to thank you is Sandy Yu! Then, I have to thank Tommy, Ms. Lok, and especially 珍姐 for telling me these past years that I can do it and I need to work harder. Thank you for always encouraging me even though deep down I always want to take a leave, but you didn't get mad at me. I also have to thank Amy Wong because she gave me a lot of opportunities, putting a lot of possibilities on me. You've been helping me slowly paving my road. It's a pity that Brother's Keeper didn't get Best Drama; it was my favorite series. Thank you everyone that took part in Brother's Keeper; thank you to my partner Edwin Siu. Lastly, I need to thank my husband Chapman To. Thank you for supporting me all these years and providing me with such a comfortable, unburdened lifestyle/reality so that I can do what I love without worrying. Thank you my parents, I love you!

→my second favorite acceptance speech. This has been the most unbiased awards ceremony in the past few years. So glad Elena and Kristal, two ex-ATV artistes were able to win an award. 

also very irrelevant but I'm not able to gif the HD version of the awards ceremony because RP is not letting me trim >:( it took me forever to figure out how to unrar it too and now I have no idea what program I can use to trim it. oh wells, at least I found a working version

Best Supporting Actress: Elena Kong --Koo Ming Wah (presenter): This girl, she's really lucky. Because a lot of girls want to kiss Kenneth Ma and she got to kiss him.  --Elena Kong: Every year, I would arrange two tickets for my parents, but this year I couldn't get tickets for them to come watch live. Mom, I did it! I never realize how great the sound of applause is, thank you all! Thank you TVB for "adopting" me a few years ago, giving me a lot of opportunities and telling me that I can continue to act because I've thought of giving up since no one watched any of the (ATV) dramas I'm in. [laughs] Now, when I go out, people can say my character's name. Thank you Tommy for "adopting" me and Ms. Lok for working out the contract with me. Thank you 珍姐 and Sandy--I've worked with you before. Really need to thank Joe and Ms. Au; I love you! Lastly, I need to thank my boyfriend and my dog, Teddy. And last statement: MaMing, sorry that you had to "kung" (deal with/have intimate scenes with) someone like me. Thank you!

→my favorite acceptance speech (& she looks so gorgeous and younger with that hair, makeup, and dress). and for such an important ceremony, how can they not have more seats so the artistes' family or whoever can come watch?! even for voice of stars, the contenders got to have their whole family and fans club there... i mean, two tickets even isn't a lot of ask for.

TVB Anniversay Awards

Hope u all like the graphics I posted! The Awards Ceremony will be held later today! All the best to the nominees!

I din watch many series this year so I shan't rly comment much. But personally, I wish Francis or Bobby will get BA, and my bias Kanin will get SA but it's quite impossible. :( Actress-wise, I feel that Elena and Krystal are the most outstanding. And for the younger generation, I've always favoured Mandy and Him.
